I can't help but to notice the small lock on the cases. Hmm... wonder if its troublesome to lock and unlock the cases.

Pelican cases aren't made for bikes but alot of international riders use em cos they work.. U can choose to mount em on the top rack if u wanna..

 

Why I say they work.. Buy em locally and it's lifetime unconditional warranty aka if u spill and break something, they will change it for u..

 

I chose the bigger ones to fit my full faces.. =0)

 

Haven't quite tried em out up north but my bars wobble abit whilst having both hands off stretching at approx 80km/h..

 

Yup, I changed my rear to tourance, SGD200 @ Powerwheel.. High time to change cos I needed to change before my ko samui trip but procrasinated till then..

In regards to the small locks, the ones I use have the same key for all of em..

 

I usually ride with the side holding my helmet and jacket unlock and only relock em when I arrive..

Oh one thing... these things are HEAVY... Think they are approx 6kg each after I removed the trolley fittings...

 

Am trying to get used to the weight.. In fact, it's harder for me to push my bike while I'm mounted..

 

BTW, it is only a little wider than my previous h&bs..

last week when i when down to Auto M...i asked for sprockets front and rear...person entertain me is a middle age fellow...told me no stock...and i was told it is $90 when i asked...so i told him,how come so expensive?told him the last time i bought between range from $65 to $75...

He said everythg went up...so i go **** spider...

 

Today,i try my luck and when down again....it was as early as 9am...this time i was entertain by an old uncle with glasses..he was usually the guy that entertain me in the past...he go get the sprockets meaning it is available...so he asked me how much i normally buy...i told him around $60ish to $70ish...told him i always bought the sprockets there...so far this is my 2nd time...

I was so delighted when he quoted me $70..

I also bought the original handgrips...$25.

but to my astonishment,the right grips comes with the white throttle plastic body...kewl...all that for just $25...

 

 

P.s : Anyone wants to go for Malaysia ride tomoro morning till Fri nite or Sat morning?i thought of buying Malaysia map tomoro and just hit at any spots feel desirably...

I thought of just riding around and exploring Malaysia for this holiday...

I went another time and the old uncle quoted me $10 for the clutch cable and 2 pairs of OEM front brake pads for $70.

i don't have rxk...but got 2 rxk belongs to ahpek at my carpark...and can ask them you giving them free clutch cable...confirm they let you try...

Go LAB to buy RK525X ring plus installation of the sprockets as well.

At night,i replaced the grips and throttle body and boy was i glad that i did spend 3hrs on my TDM just now...look what i discovered.

recently i felt heavy on the throttle as if the cable not very smooth.

The right side of the handlebar have some corrosion...thats the reason for the throttle to get stuck at a certain degrees..i have to use sandpaper to sand it away..but still left a little corrosion that can't be removed..i applied some wd-40 and then lub it with a lubricant...lub the trottle cable and clutch cable as well...also open up the ON/OFF switch housing and gave it a good clean up.

and also i found out that i didnt tightened the airbox catch properly the last time i cleaned out the fast idle plunger due to rushing...so that's the reason for the chuckling noise under the tank and the lost of power for the past few months.

I got the chance to adjust the free-play of my throttle cable assembly.so this time no engine cut of whenever i turn my handle to my left while i gas off...gave a good cleaning and lub the throttle body of the fuel injection area which looks alittle like the carb.

Nope.I still prefer to keep my $10 OEM clutch cable for my oversea trips as spare.

 

Am used to have Nets,If you pay by cash,items dun include GST.But after the increase of 2% of Nets charges,they stopped using it.Alot of shops also dun use Nets liao.
