Yamaha TDM 900

just came back from the "bike week 2005 myrtle beach sc" easily 100,000 bikes there. today is only day 2 & i think they can hit the target of ^300,000 bikes by sunday. could't get parking around the event area so took pics while driving. n some pics ard the beach.

this week is the HD week. next week is the all out bike week n was told i shld c a more balance sports bike vs HD ratio. will try make my way there. n if $$ allow mayb stay a nite of 2 over there

the LV pipes u interested in seems to mount higher when I compared the pic with a standard stock mount. Wouldn't it affect your HB boxes??

 

btw, let me know when to you want to collect ur barends and alarm.

i would luv to but pocket is tight as i just bought a car n it will be kinda diffcult to get a room during this kind of event. even if i stay there, the rooms r all by the beach but events r on the empty land just outside the entry to myrtle, not too far...~2miles... sigh if only i can afford a bike... lastly it's ~3hrs drive 160miles.

 

any chance we can organise an event like this in singapore? n tell those driving :"Sorry no parking, for BIKES ONLY!"

yappiez>> Thanks for the welcome. Yup the LV mounts higher. It will be almost touching the bottom of the panniers. There's usually some free play to lower it slightly if it touches. Will call you after I settle down for awhile...have not even collect my TDM from my friend.

yamaha, givi, h&b etc have pannier solutions for the tdm. the price depends on which box you choose. got my 33l givi for 150ea at ah boy.

I have plans fixing Krauser 30L panniers on mine. (TP panniers)

A fair bit of fabrication is required as the standard does not have fit the tdm900.

When I complete, it will be PRICELESS. cos no other tdm900 in the world will have it.

 

Anyway, I am targetting below $600 for everything. Still cheaper than a set of Hepco panniers.

I have a pair of H&B 40L Juniors wif rack for $950. Direct bolt on, easy fix with no mods. H&B rack is universal which means you can attach any H&B panniers on it. There are other series such as Gobis or Journey or the Alu series. Prices will vary which I'm not too sure about. If you have cash to spare, you can always go for the touratech option .By far, givi & H&B are the most popular luggage options for our local TDM riders.

who say Sporean not creative n innovative
