So sianzzzzz... everyone busy riding and touring over the holidays but I'm stuck in SG worrying about not having enough money to spent..... hmm...

How's everyone doing this season?

Hello!

You don't have to be sianz, it's just a phase of your life. Once it's over, you'll be enjoying life again. Hang in there! :bounce:

I had a quiet holiday too, as I bade a final farewell to my grandmother on Christmas Day morning. :weep:

Anyway, I just found out that the rebound adjusters on the forks were offset to the right. In the workshop manual, position 2 means the slot is vertical. My position 2 is set slightly off to the right for both forks. Thinking back to when I had changed the rebound adjusters, i had thought i changed from 3 to 2 when i had actually changed from 2 to 1. No wonder the ride was so springy. This time round will try position 3.

I still have not got the goggles and panniers yet! Sheesh...

cheers,

kyquek

AJ, so have you changed to a KNN filter? Share your experience on the upgrade, please.

I have to agree about the wobbly feeling, too. Mine is a 2004 and it has very light springs compared to 2003 and 2002 models. What's yours?

Suspension settings I have now are front fork rebound position 3 (one click more than standard, which is position 2), rear shock rebound 10 clicks out (two clicks less than standard, which is 12 clicks out from fully turned in). I was thinking; Since I weigh about 57kg, which is less than the standard 74kg rider the suspensions are set for; Reducing the rate of rebound would make me bounce around less, improving my sense of control of the bike. I do like the ride better than standard but I have been riding only one week with this settings.

You might want try adjusting the suspension settings. Do keep in mind that you should make small changes each time and record the ride changes you feel with each change.

Cheers,

kyquek

no offence here...but you guys very comical...discuss TDM as though it's some form of high-performance bike

your bike wobble...but all bikes woggle at a certain speed...wat speed were you riding at...the TDM is not meant to be design to fly lah..it's tourer's bike!

pardon me if I'm wrong....i think the TDM enginners intended the TDM to be a "jack of all trades, master of none"

and i got it cause it suits me!

Let's welcome Mr Noris to the tdm community. Just came back from holidays at krabi, phuket and phi phi island. No problems at all from the bike. Managed to keep up with two sports for 1/2hr at 170-180km/h. Quite fun. Realize that tdm is quite comfortable maintaing 170.
