Oh little mistake there...

I did not sell it on ebay. Rather it was a verbal agreement in a public forum, he paid me once i gave him my Paypal account. So I have to stick to my side of the bargain and send the item as promised.

Ebay is pretty much the same except that there are ratings involved and also Ebay takes a cut from your advert to keep themselve running.

Don't use Ebay to sell things if u target Singapore market. U will go bankrupt. Too much brainless time wasters here. Every one will want to meet up and you will have no time.

Use Yahoo Auction instead.

Overseas and world wide market, Ebay is good. At the end of the day, its all about trust, I have send several hundred pounds first and then gettin the item weeks later without problems. Others have trust me with amounts up to 700 pounds. Of course, you have to be a smart buyer. Dont be greedy and go for it if the deal is unbelieveable. There are many scams around if you look hard enough. Same with Yahoo auction.

Make sure you have a slight idea about the postage fees. Cos postage might cost too much or take too long and it might put off the buyers. As for me, I was lucky, my boss is going to that country and he promised to take it there and post it for me. $$ savings!! Otherwise it probably cost quite a bit due to the weight.......

We can discuuss more if you have more questions but if you intend to set up something like ebay shops then I'm not quite up to that level to help... I am just part time garung guni man.....

Damn what a long post... hope that helps.

Just a personal opinion. The local market for bikes are too small to really have a so call "market resale" value.

The value (selling price) of a used bike depends almost entirely on the buyer's willingness to pay. On the other hand of course, in a free market, it also depends on the seller's willingness to part with the bike for certain amount of money. But most of the time, seller had to settle for something much less than the "intended" selling price.

Based on the local scene, private sale or bikeshops, it is more of a case of a buyer market for bikes.

Hi there,

Would like to ask the TDM owners, what would be the avg OTR price for a new TDM900 for someone who's 28yrs old? If possible, do let me know of the shop's name as well. Many thanks. Cheerios! :thumb:

went down to Dili Trading today, saw a new TDM900 that some1 had ordered. The 2006 model comes with smart ignition like the Honda's HSS system. I think OTR for 28 yr old should be ard 18k cos the machine price is roughly 16++k. Can call to check, dili trading:67435100

I'm the one who order the bike from Kelvin. Just for your info. If anyone need cheaper price can check with Looi's. selling at 17 grand OTR. But if you guys don't mind it's a display unit 2004 model.

If i'm not wrong, the bike is ridden by an air stewardess . My current bike was also bought from a lady rider.

Based on the local scene, private sale or bikeshops, it is more of a case of a buyer market for bikes.

That fact the owner loses 6k just after 1 year with all those accessories makes it a super deal for the next buyer. However, many other buyers will then think that the bike depreciates at a high value and re-sale value is lousy. Other buyers will also start to think they can get this bike at this price and will be only interested if sellers are offering them at this price.

at this kind of price, i'm sure you can push the bike into any reputable shop and they will snap it up and re-price it 2k more and sell it.

Of course, the owner can sell at any price at the end of the day, take this as a discussion to understand more how the market works. I might be wrong but I am also interested to learn more too.:cheeky:
