Since its new, you should change gears between 5-6 rpm? As for the noises when stopping @ 1st gear, I experience that too in the beginning..What i do is not to stop @ 1st gear, but @ 2nd gear and then as it about to stop, kick down neutral and put down leg and stop.. not sure if that's the best advice, perhaps there are other better advises..

 

btw, is your bike black or white l.e.?

After a few weeks, the sound no more once I change my stopping style. Waaa white ah?? nice!! Hmm about the height issue, maybe you can lower the rear suspension..that one need to ask the other R125 riders if possible or not..

R15 is not the same as R125. One obvious difference is the engine capacity. R15 has a 150cc engine while the R125 has a 125cc engine. Plus, R15 is made in India while R125 is made in EU. Personally, I think that R125 looks better than a R15. One similarity is that both are 4 stroke.

 

Meanwhile, the Aprillia RS125 is a 2-stroke bike, which means you need to add 2T-oil regularly on top of the normal engine oil. A 2-stroke bike also has a higher maintainence as compared to a 4-stroke bike. In terms of price, the last I went to Loois Motors (the only shop in SG that sells R125) is 11k machine price. 15k for on the road price (for a 27 year old rider, with more than 1 year riding exp). If you're younger and has lesser exp, I believe the price will be higher, perhaps even hitting 16k. Minimum deposit is 3k, as need to cover the COE/insurance.

yes you can and owner will still be you.

the insurance will cover both you and your sub rider.

but if the sub rider is 'younger' or 'inexperience' than you, you will have to top up the insurance loading.

hi guys, i just got myself a R125 today. i am only 160 tall and it's rather difficult for me to hold ground when coming to a stop... can something to done to resolve this issue? and when how do i know when it's time to shift from gears to gears? am New to Sports Series Bike.

 

when i clutch in to 1st gear and roll to the stops line, i hear noises from my bike hence would like to know how you guys normally come to a stop?

I was comparing the Aprillia vs Yamaha vs Derbi. I found out that only the Aprillia has a higher top speed than 140kmhr.

 

HOw fast does your R125 go ?

 

Is there a reason why a bike not as fast cost so much? What are you payi?ng for? I mean it looks really good ya? d

Ahh thx bro! Then what if the sub-rider's premium is lower than main rider due to age & experience? Or another situation where the main owner's premium is higher than subrider only because of a prev. claim done?

As mentioned above, a 2-stroke bike performs better than a 4-stroke bike. So you cant compare yamaha or derbi with Aprillia..both are of different classes. Its exp mainly because of where is it made. And of course the high-performance stock parts such as the Brembo brakes etc etc.. Pricewise, all three are somewhat in the 13-15k range..

 

If I can advise ya, ask yourself what is your budget..are you using the bike for everyday use or track use? Coz if everyday use, why do you compare topspeed? Its not like you're going to race on sg roads right? Furthermore, there are mods to increase the performance of the bike..But seriously, do not waste 15k just because you want to got top speed..be patient for a year, get class 2A and then can try the higher cc bikes with more power etcetc.

Anyway, there are other models worth considering such as Derbi GPR, Rieju RS3..Side info: currently in Sg is only RS2..but RS3 should be coming in mid yr..google it and see if you like the design..Oh and google for Aprillia RS4..the new 4-stroke 125cc from aprillia..but not yet in sg.

 

Go to sgbikemart.com search for r125 under 'used bikes'..its a red r125, owner selling @ 11k full cash I believe..
