R15 is not the same as R125. One obvious difference is the engine capacity. R15 has a 150cc engine while the R125 has a 125cc engine. Plus, R15 is made in India while R125 is made in EU. Personally, I think that R125 looks better than a R15. One similarity is that both are 4 stroke.

 

Meanwhile, the Aprillia RS125 is a 2-stroke bike, which means you need to add 2T-oil regularly on top of the normal engine oil. A 2-stroke bike also has a higher maintainence as compared to a 4-stroke bike. In terms of price, the last I went to Loois Motors (the only shop in SG that sells R125) is 11k machine price. 15k for on the road price (for a 27 year old rider, with more than 1 year riding exp). If you're younger and has lesser exp, I believe the price will be higher, perhaps even hitting 16k. Minimum deposit is 3k, as need to cover the COE/insurance.

 

Hi guys i like to know more about R125 and R15. At first i also thought its the same bike. until i saw this thread. I'm currently riding super 4 spec 1. Got into an accident few months back, got to scrap my bike and now still recovering =( So currently im looking for another bike at the mean time. Been looking through the 'used bike' page, but cant seems to see anyone selling their R15 or R125 =(

 

Anyone can help answer my questions?

-Power wise

-fuel comsumption

-the price difference for 2nd hand between these 2 bikes.

-which 1 easier to encounter more problem?

 

I got my eye on these bikes becoz its four stroke. Im not using it for track. Just touring and work thats all. Which one will u all recommend?

Hey Guyz, few dayz ago i spotted my standard R125 exhaust pipe had a wide crack on the wielding joint.****, seems the hotwork quality sucks then lucky a got my

workplace mechanic to re-wield to joint back. Now i m considering to change the full system pipe.Guyz, recommend me leh something not beyond 1K since gonna get "special money" on 1st MAY...hehehehehehehe!!!!........................Cheers!!!

probably get an approval letter from GMAX or loois n resend for inpection...
