browsing through and saw a local car forum. seems to me they hate us alot. one of them even have a tactic to to disallow us to squeeze to the front at traffic lights.

Some bike riders are really asking for it. Most of all, I hate the sense of entitlement some of them display on the road, e.g. weaving in and out of cars to get right in front of a line at the lights. And, having obstructed the car waiting patiently at the front, do they step on it when the light goes green? No - they often take their own sweet time to move off.

 

Luckily, there is a near foolproof defence to this. If you're up there in front and see a bike weaving around behind you, get ready, then just coast forward in tandem with him and stop the car just ahead of him so he can't obstruct you. You gotta time it right - do it too early and the guy can still weave around you and plonk himself in front of you. Leave it too late, and he's already parked at an angle in front of you. Also, check for pedestrians and ensure you don't go so far in front as to impede traffic going perpendicular to you (don't cross the final line at the lights).

 

I've done this many times, and I can always see it frustrates the bikers on their little motorised gnats. But what do I care? I've made sure they don't block me, and I've done so safely.

but looking at tis forum i agree some of the things said.coz i rent car on the road before and i drive to yishun in the afternoon to find my fren theres tis few bike jus cut in between cars when cornering and i almost bang onto them.as a rider and driver i totally knw the points each side view.both have their mistakes and both have their stands haha

there's a lorry abt 5-6m in front of me..

didnt secure the loads in his lorry properly..

while negotiating the turn, metal poles flung out frm his lorry..

it dropped to e floor n rebounded into an array of directions..

like playin pick up stixs..

i was riding head on towards e poles..

couldn't brake in time to avoid it..

some was still on air as i went thru it..

thankfully i was on a zee.. better ground clearance..

could ride thru n over it..

if it was another rider on another bike, he wld hv gone down..

the cars behind couldn't move as their path were blocked by the piles of poles..

 

ride safe guys..
