the warranty coverage from HL is very tedious,12 mth or 12000km.

definitely u can't keep ur mileage within 12000km till a year, unless local riding only.

The bike was built to travel.12k km for a year is abit hard to maintain...but well ,thats the local agent term.we can't do much too.lol

i was thinking of changing handlebar. if im not mistaken s10 is 1/8" fatbar..i really dont know if Pro Taper/Renthal DH brands are suitable to fit in...plus top clamp fitting..so far stock bar looks good, feel good. Besides that putting 20/25mm bar riser to a hi bend bar, would it compromise safety, posture /comfort for long rides?

Posted

I reckon handle bar is up to personal preference beh.

Shorter bar are good on city street riding.

Stock handle was long and sometime hard to squeeze between gaps during traffic.

Bar riser will depend on rider build & also whether it touring comfort or off road arm reach.

Adjustable Riser like REX riser can offer more adjustment then fix height riser.

End of the day,if the setup suit your build/style/purpose.then just do it. :)

yup...thanks a million guys....sometimes its quite hard to squeeze between cars n goddamn lorries with extended side mirrors since im used to do that alot with smaller bike, plus the fan starts to activate around 105 Degrees when stuck in heavy traffic. My told me that yamaha heats up really fast even from a cold start it takes less than 5 mins to get engine temp to 70-80 Degrees. Anyways, is engine ice coolant effective in reducing engine heat? thought of changing coolant when i hit around 3000 to 5000km.

Posted

I'm considering getting original Honda coolant. They are supposingly very good as mentioned by several mechanics. Heard good things about it on many online source too. Worth checking out..

The fact: S10 runs hot .so does the rest of the inline-4/Vee or boxer setup .::cheeky:

It don't help that the radiator & fan is located on the left side cowl.you wouldn't have the hot air blowing problem if the bike are oil/air cool engine or front mount in front of the inline-4/Vee engine.

However nothing is as streaming as SGP noon sun w/o cloud above....lol

As for engine ice,in my personal butt feel.it just another brand of coolant.it ain't magic & the fan will still turn on during city traffic road or slow slow traffic & stop/Go traffic.

Since the bike comes with "free" coolant...use till times up then replace.:thumb:

Honestly, the s10 is not tat hot. The heat is well directed away out of the bike.

So far, the only time i feel tat it is unbearable was when i was in a 30 mins jam at custom.

My previous inline4 1100cc heats up a lot faster, n goes alot hotter. Below 90kmh n below can feel my leg sweating liao.

Personally, i will wait til ard 15k b4 changing the coolant

Thx bro! That looks so super wide with 40l on each side.

the HB racks are made with equal space for both side so can use both 40l nicely. SWM racks are made differently or uneven so have to ise a smaller pannier on the left.

Nice bro,the only drawback is squeezing into traffic.

Ya,the 2011 side rack design has minor change.higher bolt point ,equal distance & soild single piece bar mounting plate.

30L/40R combo price diff is very little as compare to 40L/40R.while since this bike will go up north.may as well just get de 40/40 combo for me.:cheeky:

was the H&B rack quick remove version??

you did mod because of the exhaust right?

Yup,that's the lock-it side rack.

Yes,the eox side the bar need a relocation & bracket need a enlargement.both task handle by ah ann & power coat by mtechnik due to the non-stock slip-on.

Agree.with the 40/40 combo or infact any bike with side panniers will be harder to lane spilt.haha

However I reckon the side box will be use mainly up north and store up the side box while local usage.
