I don't know how bike shop charge for labor and not sure if you buy and let them do they would want to do it.

 

Go to Ah boy and buy the whole assembly (don't get the kit set)..the last two person I done for paid $110 for a new unit.

 

To DIY, the tank have to come off and you have to have a big "C" spanner to take it off..and oso, have your tank in reserve otherwise, petrol have to be drained out if its too full and this is not recommended as can contaminated your fuel.

 

OK can can, once i have my tank up to near reserve will go and get it.. Then book a time with you and go to your place and try to get it right.. thanks ah pek

Hi guys,

anyone knows how to tune the RPM for VerR to be higher?

i used to do tat for my phantom myself, but dun know where is the knob for VerR.

There is a flower like big dial screw right in the mid of the four carbs. Its protruding at about 45 degreed downwards.Good luck.:sian:

Hello ah pek, can i ask u something dat i tried to figure out for very long, as u know of my ride the engine block is leaking coolant, leaked to the spark plug. after that incident, every time i start my bike my bike just dies off. i need to maintain constant trottle. issit tuning needs to be done or something? Even hot engine after riding 10-15 mins traffic light also will die.

Oh..I tot you already send it for a one shot repaired you mentioned to me earlier. No..tuning won't help. I suspect the crack internally in your engine mid block is too large to repair already..and it depend on where the damage is too.

 

My only suggestion to you now is to have the block replace. If you are ready financially..repair is about $800 for a secondhand unit. Can help you look for one. Let me know.:sian: In the meantime, better not ride the bike anymore. One damage can lead to another.

You can take any one of them la (AYE or PIE).

 

AYE then CTE, exit CTE to Ang Mo Kio Ave 1 (after Braddell rd). As you are on AMK Ave 1 keep right and turn right at the 1st junction into AMK ave 10.

Another 500m you see will Blk 409 Teck Ghee Sq market is on your left. If you are going to Ah Peh Block then you go straight and turn right after the market to AMK st 44 and look for Blk 469.

 

As for PIE, you exit to CTE after Kim Keat Link (after Toa Payoh stadium on your left). Then its the same as above.

 

frm jurong .. aye cte exit amk ave 1 exit 11 .. den 1st turn turn right .. tts amk ave 10 den go straight till u see teck ghee sq ..

2) how many led suppose to turn ON when you turn yr key to "ON" without igniting the engine.. (cuz i turn on bike, the side stand LED and the oil LED will turn ON.. when i ignite engine oil LED will go off.. But i've seen my temperature LED turn ON before leii.. even when i'm riding.. this is making me a little 'paranoid' actually..)

it'll be GREAT if you bros can take abit of yr valuable time to answer my question.. i'll be much relieved...

yes super 4 got choke. left hand side near the signal there.

 

oil LED is on before u ignite. after ignite will go off, normal. side stand down, light on, side stand up, light off.

If temperature LED got on before, think the engine is too hot, seek yr mech to check yr coolant.

tangmulong4488 is right about the temp in a NORMAL condition S4. But if your coolant is not overheating etc..its likely your wiring problem, either its aged thru time and have carnonised or the sensor connection is 'faulty'. Best way to check is to have your bike stationary, on your engine and just turn your handle bar left and right in various speed. If the temp lights comes on at random or intermittently..its wiring problem (partially broken..etc) near the fron't, just behind the handlebar and begining of the tank.

Haha now the only thing i have left to do up is the fuel knob assembly and the switch for the fan and headlight that time you advice me to change..

 

Btw how much is it for you to help me install the switch for the fan and headlight..

 

Super four really is the best bike for Sg roads, smooth fast.. Nice.. Now i know why it's tested and proven to be the best.. haha.. But then when i road on my fren'z fazer6, ermm, it's even better.. wahhaa.. But then of cos super four is enough for a student like me.. haha..

 

Although the wear and tears parts repair are quite a lot.. But i think i have already solved quite a number of them and is slowly enjoying my ride.. Only that, it's hot, and i really mean hot if i use is for work.. Another other method to bring down the temperature..?

and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.

Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall,

torque is how far you take the wall with you.

for me..mileage is about 22km/l with x1R. Without was ard 20km/l

 

but i heard got ppl can reach 25-27km/l lor..

Will tuning up of idling speed increase FC?? i tuned ntill damm high sounds very shiok.

 

I dont call that as tuning,rather than controlling of e fuel flow.It is certain to raise your FC, imagine blowing ur throttle and hold it at 1.5-2 rpm constantly,Not advisable though,to me is a stressing of the engine,considering our bike are all COE bikes...

Tuning should be washing of carb. and adjusting the air flow for more comprehensive combustion. Hope it help.......

Is it possible for coolent to leak significantly from the hoses, BUT the coolent reservoir still remains half-filled?

 

Assuming the leak is suspected cos every morning the area below the bike has a dried green patch.

Assuming the leak is suspected cos every morning the area below the bike has a dried green patch.

 

If it leaks..it keeps leaking when your bike starts but in your case, look like it just an overflow issue as you mentioned its right under your bike. This is quite normal.
