Okie my turn to ask techie question

When i press my front brake pump, there is a click sound almost to the end

I can also feel a slight vibration on the lever.. like a step..

The braking is okie and I have used hard braking with no problems

Ive asked a few mechs and the replies are such

1) Sound is from the light switch

2) pump need to service

3) it is normal

4) Lever abit out of alingment

Any bros here encounter this?

Mine is the RCS19

lube your lever first, see if there is still sound. how old is your RCS?

Hi Kumar_83 bro,

I hesitated for awhile before I replied your post because this place is always full of crap ...

Your post is valuable and I think it can benefits many with our combine info.

My advise as a total 101% end user,

is always good to do some homeworks before you proceeds anything on your machine.

Especially when you come to tweaking or modifying your engine.

SG market is going crazy in general, thanks to the GOV.

People are trying very hard to up keep with the society.

Yes we quality materials but sad to say ... no quality work

because everything have to be fast and become extremely "Commercialized".

Of course Greed plays a very important part.

This is the roots that leads to your problem you are facing.

Back to my lines of "Doing your Homework".

If you to do search and physically tried the Gen2 Hayabusa,

everything in this Gen2 from ground up is improve 15% or above in every technical espects.

I use to have Gen1 which is quite tastfully well done up and then I switch to Gen2.

Here I am is speaking base on my true personal experience.

Cut the story short.

Save and carry forward with your money and go for Gen2 if you really love Hayabusa.

Throw in a high temp brake pads+steel braided hoses+brembo masterpump and a set of midst to end cans dual slip on,

some suspension tunning and a good set of good rubber ... Period ... ... ... !

The rest is up to the rider. I still beat the shiit out of many riders on the NSHW.

It still bring up the speed and clear the speedometer very fast.

My Gen2 was still very reliable and fuel efficient.

Back to your tuning. What snake_sin says is absolutely true.

Whether is Meng Tong or anyone regards as a REAL tuner,

tunning should be by increment and on road drive / ride base the country atmospheric conditions.

Increment tunning on how many rpm is all depends on the hardwares can offers.

Tunning box piggyback or standalone range from $300-$6,000 sing, is all up to the "Pilot application".

I know of one Jap guy based in Malaysia who will put his heart and soul to tune every 1 RPM !

1 sportcar takes 1 month.

So I hope my reply is beneficial to you to make understand a little on SG market,

understandings of products and the tunning world.

IMO, there is no good bike tuner in SG. As for cars, yes there is ...

For motorcycle, you can only expects very basic tweak like AF ratio,

they can't even do a good job on ignition timing.

Maybe there are now after some courses and practise ... I don't know because I have not follow up for awhile.

Enjoy your ride. :p

Bro NA,

Care to share your prefered car tuners in spore?

So far mine was tuned by:

EG9- Eddie-Choons

CT9A- Rommell / Ah-Teck-LTM

DC5R- Joel (He is excellent!)

ZC21-STOCK because no point to tune also(Must support Suzuki...hahaha)

How about yours?

Thanks for all the input guys.. after much thought and research, I am forgoing the idea of getting a PCV. For those who are interested, buy it over the net. Its way cheaper including shipping. Specify your mods and they will load in a compatible map as well. I will save the $$ for now. Maybe like what NormalAspirated said better to upgrade brakes and suspension. Its sad that we have all the goods but incompetent mech to handle them. As bikes get more complicated and electronics get bombarded further on future bikes, I wonder if our mechs can keep up with the technological advance.. or they will simply just smoke all the customers.

For those interested in a PCV try this link. http://www.morepoweracing.com/product.asp?s=i793ba11587772&P_ID=55525&V_ID=172888&strPageHistory=basket. Price in SG $ is 400 including shipping.. way below the $580 most shops quote here. They include the map as well.

If you're riding a bike but not calculating the 50 possibilities in the 50 meters of road ahead of you, then you're dangerous and shouldnt be on one.

I dont know how old the rcs is..

came with the bike

the click only comes when i pull the lever all the way in

it also happens only when in staionary position and I pull it in fast

if i pull it in slowly like normal braking or even hard braking there is no click

think it needs a good lube or re-alignment a lil

isit true racing footrest will fail inspection? my inspection coming... sianz

Racing footrests not a problem

Heres the list of whats allowed and whats not allowed

http://www.onemotoring.com.sg/publish/onemotoring/en/lta_information_guidelines/modifications_and_vehoffences/modification_guide.html

usual stuff like exhaust, big bore, nitrous, no chain guards etc are mentioned

if footrests fail then our zero gravity double bubble, brembo pumps, ohlins suspension etc also fail

Hi snake_sin bro.

Out of the 4 tuners, I yet to try Eddie ... I know him.

He suppose to get back to me about Whitelines products,

2weeks still no news, super slow. Order myself better. :p

In person, I like Joel.

In working style, I like Ah Teck.

In professionism, I like Lester.

Don't get me wrong, I like Rommell as a person

but he is getting to more and more commercialized

Unless you drive a supercars category then you find him super nice ...

I ever tried Dynotechnica, pretty norm.

There is one ... tunning and learning at the same time ... Charlie.

I heard there is a Jap guy from ST Power is good.

I heard there is another Jap guy from Garage-R is damn power ... :p

Your CT9A is VII, VIII or IX ??? :?

I suppose your DC5R is FL.

I could not agree with you more bro NA with your take on these tuners. I guess if you know Charlie, you either have DC5, FD2 or AP1 (with green rims and now have a MK5) correct? I think I have seen your nick before somewhere before...hahaha

I used to have a VIII CT9A and one of the rare blue FL DC5R but have since retired form those category of vehicles because I think i had enough of the image.......for now....lolz....maybe in the future who knows...nowadays just like to put to "D" and drive...

Nice to know a fellow enthusiast in here...

Bro les_rider,

For your reference:

Renew COE models- 8-12K

2007 models- 16-20K

2008- 21 to 25K

The thing is most sellers these days want buyers to absorb their interest incurred when they bought the bike.

You may get a better price if you buy from those who have fully paid their bike. But on the same note, those who do that are mostly enthusiast and may have spent a bit more on their bike which can lead to a higher price too.

Like one of our great minister said,”Willing seller, willing buyer”! Most important thing is to make sure the bike was not involved in an accident before, engine and transmission in good condition. The rest of the bike can be fixed relatively easy. When you go for viewing, sit on the bike, start the engine and listen to her. You will know if she is the right one if you listen and feel her. Sometimes, it’s not people look for bike but bike looking for the owner.

After searching mine for 1 year, I found out that most “market priced” bikes are very poorly maintained and have seen some gen2 look even more shack than my 2007 model.

Good luck on your search and hope to see you soon. Do drop by if we are meeting up and you see many many busas at one time so that you can have a better ideal on what you want. Cheers!
