Which brand are u refering to...?

Quite hard to get 200-55-17 usually its 200-50-17 even that popular brands don't make this size.

Would like to try one of those on my next tire change.

Bro, you need to confirm the tire clearance with the swingarm and chain. 200/55 seems very wide and high profile. Personally I don't see any real world advantages with 200/55. Unless you want to "Elbow" down on every corner.

Yeah, $400 and above will get hit by 7% GST. You need to go to the ICA office beside the Delifrance ( I think ) to pay the GST. Just bring along the invoice. If not wrong, paypal receipt is also acceptable.

If you have done your homework, then go for it.

I think the minus one or two teeth is refering to the" 55" and not the "200"

To me its for looks if I go 200

Its practically if I go 180

As even on oem 190

U could see the side walls still relatively new

Sometimes I feel abit wasted

Hayabusa is not a normal fast bike, I don't believe you guys are talking things off the engineering works that originally provided.

There is always a reason why the chief engineer did it.

Many try to be a smart alec ...

I don't say for fun or to gain credibility, I speak for everyone safety.

I am using 180 ever since i got my busa. Good enough for me. :)

Theoretically is not wrong as an end user to use a undersize tyre on a given rim spec for 190.

Provided the rider is not pushing the bike performance at its edge.

180 uses 5.5 inches whereas 190 uses 6 inches.

A undersize will never perform at its best for not allowing the tyre to provide the contour correctly.

When there is no fall, correct thoery sound bullshiit and when there is fall, it will be a hard one ...

If you continue to use it, better go get a 600cc 5.5inches and mount it up, you definitely feels a huge different.

Your first line is incorrect ...

Your second line is a sad case ...

Save a few dollars to compromise your safety.

arbine;7563264']anyone tried 200-55-17 tires on their bike before? any review?

I believe is a very good profile for 2002 onwards ZX12R

which their original spec is 200/50/17 and this 200/55/17 will be a good tyre to allow the rider to flow in the bends better.

Hayabusa orignial spec is 190/50/17, as for 190/55/17 is already very good enough ...

The engineers and their factory test riders had did a good job. :p

I wonder why is ZX12R 2002 models come with 200 profile, suspect the rim size is 6.25 inches.

Will go take one and measure someday.

yes i see your point, stock zx12r is 6"

stock busa tire BT-56 is actually a 198(actual width)

almost all Bridgestone rear 190s are 198~200 width, abit wider den other brands, which is why i think is ok to try the newer 200-55 ones
