Pardon the stupid questions.

After pumping a petrol station, should we

a) leave bike at pump and go in to pay; or

b) ride to front then go in to pay?

In MCSP with bike cover, do you "stick" the daily coupon outside the cover? If leave outside will get stolen by some prankster or not?

Firstly, you are a paying customer. If someone asks you to go to the front and park, tell him to F off. Just because you ride a bike doesnt mean you should be treated as an outcast. After you pump, just leave you bike there and go inside and pay. For me, i take my bloody sweet time after paying, reset trip meter, shake the tank and pretend that my bike is a premix 2t bike. Pump my clutch, cycle my gears then slowly ride off.

Secondly, for the daily coupon, i write down my bike number, put it in a zip lock bag, and clip it to my bike's winds shield. So far no one has stolen or saboed me before. If someone steals it, then he really no life because the coupon already got your bike number.

unless if you decide to pump in jb. then it is best to push or ride your bike near to the cashier area and pay.

@Cyberpig: there isn't any rule around paying for your petrol. i guess there is not harm to apply some consideration for your fellow motorists, you know...to unto others what you would like others to do unto you kinda thing. so if the place is crowded, i'd pay fast and get out so others can pump. it makes most sense (to me) to leave your bike at the pump and pay to avoid any confusion. i have never been asked to move my bike before but i would if the place was crowded and they ask nicely.

as to parking coupons under/over the cover...i think it makes most sense to put your coupons outside so the attendant can see easily. after all, no point inviting hassle just because they didn't see your coupon. i haven't had my coupons stolen before so i can't say much about that. just make sure your coupon is attached securely so the wind won't blow it off.

welcome to the biking community!

if the kiosk is not crowded then leave ur bike at the pump and go in and pay

if there are vehicles waiting behind, it'd be nice to move ur bike away so the next guy can pump. earn a bit of good karma and speed up the queue a bit

there's no hard and fast rule la... but it's good to be considerate

there are some nice drivers who pass me the air pump nozzle when they see me waiting behind them, cause they have 4 wheels and i have 2 so they let me go first so i dont have to wait for them to finish pumping all 4 tires. :thumb: to them

as for the coupon, i normally carry a plastic clip and clip the coupon to the cover. so far nobody has stolen my clip, but usually i pay season parking so i dont get to use it. and write ur bike number on it so it becomes useless to anyone else.

boring rider. with a boring bike.

too old to want to appear interesting anymore.

wat do u loose by riding off to park the bike somewhere else then go in to pay? Since we can speed up the queue by riding off, do it lah.. its faster for u also cos u can park nearer to the entrance...

Dont waste other ppl's time just to feed ur ego lah...

Lol. I was referring if someone asks me to move my bike just because he wants to be nearer to the cashier. Luckily, i never got this before, or even ppl asking me to move my bike.

Come on la, my petrol station, got 10 pumps. 6 pumps pump v power, 4 pumps for petrol. 3am in the morning suddenly got influx of 6 ppl wanna pump v power at one go?:cheeky:
