monthly maintenance, like changing of engine oil, filter, spark plug etc..:p

The interval I service is about 3/4 months. or roughly 5k km.

Change oil, oil filter, sparks, check air filter.

less than $200.

Cheaper if you DIY.

Well...

mayb U can phrase it that way...

let talk about a 09-10 883L

yup cheapest in the range...

est otr should be ard 21-22k

10% as dwpayment....

drag 5 yrs ard $370 per mth....

afford to buy is 1 thing...

afford to maintain & afford to mod...

is another whole issue altogether....

I riding a 96 XL1200C

Buying her is no problem...

maintaining (that include repairs) & modding her require some effort..lol

But true enough....

NOTHING BEATS RIDING A HARLEY!!!!

She is my 15th bike....

had numerous 2B & 2A bikes

2 CL2 bike so far exclude her

ZX12R & FZS1000 before her....

rode most of the japanese bike models also

when it come to top speed HD is not built for that...

but the pickup, mid-range, the torque....

typical of a vtwin & the "sound" she made...

Trust me on that You be memerised ...

Cheers!!!

Regards

Steven

i think it has something to do abt cruisers, they are fun to ride. i don't have a hog but am riding a cruiser, never thought i would like it when i first bought it, was pretty hesistant on getting a cruiser as well but after 3 yrs, i doubt that i will get rid of her.

steven is right, its just the mid range grunt and the vtwin thump which makes live interesting.

on the maintainence end, i think all bikes are more or less the same. big ticket items will need to be factored on high milage bikes, such as clutch, brake discs etc besides that oil changes are ok every 3-5k km as i run mineral on mine and i just change the oils more often.

the dyna on sale is actually very tidy. it handles very well too. i used to ride my mate's 1450 super glide and i loved it.

Hi!

To some it could be their ultimate dream bike since childhoods, to other's it might be a noisy pce of s#@t. People perception will change and can be influence but others and wanna be. I used to have two HD sold one off kept one for me till I die...makesure it's a evolution Engine. Anyway, my advice to those who wanted to buy or own one, try to rent one from the dealership for a day or two, feel the never ending fighting against the bike. Then consider to buy, another one of advice...EFi and Carb riding is different if you have friends who own a Carb try that first ... EFi are more smoother but do not have that tone u might want.. That's all for the day...next story another day..

Cheers///

haha...

true true...

some idoits liek to funny things to HD....

Usually either cover up or park where the human traffic flow is high (like 1st floor of MSCP)

that is what i do...

When i go hunting for my Sporty....

most if nt all live in HDB ...lol

either get an alarm fr Agent

or put a disc lock alarm... (better than nthing)

So far I been lucky no funny incidents

EFI seem to be more "powerful" on paper specs compare to carb....

But 1 thing for sure the true potato sound of a harley will be very minimise...

cheers!!!

in the morning, takes off the bike cover and goes upstairs to put

then go down stairs to ride off.

then problem come, the parking people will disturb the cover

he then tak boleh tahan, no more bike cover

then si ginna come and play his handlebar

sit on the bike like very fun.

put used bubble tea on his bike

put used tissue on his bike.

cig burns on his tank and seat

after that, he give up

told me he could not sleep at night

sold the harley and got a shadow

Everything comes with a price to sacrifice.

Extra precaution needs to be implemented from unnecessary issues, if that uncle chose not to cover his bike, prepare for the worst.

Complains can be given against those Parking enforcement officer if they remove and did not cover back it properly.

In an addition, someone mentioned, anyone can afford a Harley. However, it doesn't necessary means that anyone can own and ride one too.

All as well, ends well.

Well if u ask me.. buy a new Harley then dun need worry abt maintaining it that much cos there will be a service package provided by dealership anyway. So it depends on what type of HD are u getting. New or Pre Loved.
