I ride R125 few months ago. Bought in august 2009 and was burn in feb 2010. I have no idea how this bike can burn, i was still mounted on the bike when the fire started. All my friends questioned about the manufacturing, engine, servicing..etc.. Benefit of doubt, the insurance company also didnt explain. I just like to share my story for those riding R125. I am not saying its a bad bike but the incident was just too ironic.

Whatever the explanation is, that`s one hell of a review of the new R125... do keep us posted what actually happened!

Obviously. Bigger CC of cos can outrun any

LOL depends on how u ride, I always shift my gears around 3k rpm where torque has yet kick in... hence the bike seems "powerless" during acceleration. If I go beyond 4k surely can leave them behind. Don't try it often, it seems to invite unwanted trouble.

Eh no want considering Hyosung GTR125?

bike is a machine without soul, rider would inject new life and character to this machine

I think it's very much dependent on the rider. 2 strokers have quite a great propensity for power and you have to factor in the weight difference of about 60-70kgs in as well. The only issue is really the maintenance of a 2-stroker.

For example, i find it easier to pull a clutch wheelie on an RS125 as opposed to a super 4, which is bulkier and doesn't accelerate as violently as a two-stroker in its powerband. The sportbike ergonomics also enables easier location of balance point.

So I wouldn't say a 2-stroker sportbike is completely trumped by a 400cc.

Do you mean this:

After reading this thread, it convince me to get a Daelim till someone up there state that its pickup is slow.

I'm pretty sure at my age self-maintaining an Aprilia / 2-stroke bike could be damn tricky. :x

The R125 has slow acceleration too. Of the 3, the Aprilia is the only one that produces enough power to have decent straight-line performance; though be it that the power band is rather high up, from 8K to 11K RPM.

worry not bro, 2 strokers just different in a way that you need to feed extra 2T oil only, and will get used to it. Just maybe italians are abit lei chey bah... but it`s better to have a bike that needs alot of caring( like your CO ), rather than to ride it and left it rot under rain and shine...

In the past while I was riding, there`s only 2 strokes around, from LC 125 to Mito`s, and riding for years till switch to cars. Now, have the urge to ride again due to mad traffic during peak hours, and still with only class 2B, 2 strokes is the only way for small bikes i reckon in order to beat the bad traffic to commute( dunno how to explain why, maybe i`m an impatient road user ).

Hi, going to get 2B soon. Looking for a good bike, I am currently looking at DAELIM ROADWIN R 125 and Yamaha YZF-R125.

I am a typical Singaporean, NEED TO LOOK GOOD, CHEAP and AFFORDABLE.

I am 178cm and weigh 90kg.

What kind of Sports bike will look good, cheap and affordable etc. (PC, maintence) with me riding it?

Yeah, agree with you that bike needs alot of caring. But the thought of overhauling an Aprilia bike can be scary. :(

And I found a thread, not here, stating that a female rider intend to scrap her 10year old RS125 because she's moving out of the country. Feel like getting it from her, it's barely $500. I'm not sure what to expect from the bike though.

Hi bro,

Looks likely the R125 doesn`t fit your 3 needs, but the R150 instead. But based on your stats, think the daelim suits you more...

Well, $500 can represent anything from the bike. Best to view it first. 10 year old rather long, unless not ride frequently or abused. Maybe you`ll find that buying a good condition at maybe 3-4K even more better, as save less trouble.

Thanks for the tip. Trying to contact the owner.

And how much does it cost to renew COE?
