Hi all,

I had been experiencing this very strong vibration/chopping in the front when braking is applied...be it hard or soft braking this problem comes as it likes...and it happened on my previous track session and caused me to enter the gravel...

Because of this problem this is what had been done so far...

1) Suspect brake disc warpped - Changed to Braking Fully floating disc

2) Suspect brake pad - Changed new Braking brake pads

Does anyone felt this or experienced this before?

Could experienced riders kindly share some advise?

What are the main syntoms or signs that the bearings or steering cone are not good anymore...

There is someone out there for me

I know there is someone out there

I know she is waiting so patiently yeah

Can you tell me her name?

(Somebody tell me her name)

This life-long search is gonna drive me insane

How does she laugh?

How does she cry?

What's the color of her eyes?

Does she even realize I'm here?

Where is she? Where is she? Where is she?

Where is this beautiful girl?Who is she? Who is she?

Who is gonna complete my world?

Have you checke the both front brake calipers too?? if the front brake pistons never release properly will cause too much heat to the brake disc and the brake disc will warp. service the front brake caliper if require. cheers

steering cone if spoil, when u ride the bike u will feel the bike want to fall when you corning. best way to check to jack up your bike and check the steering cone. slowly turn the handle bar to the left and to the right again and repeat if necessary to confirm. u will feel the steering cone not smooth when u turn the handle bar.

So far I got my mechanic to test ride...he did a series of very hard braking but just couldn't replicate the problem...but he is sure that the cone is good...

So now I`m left with the wheel bearings unchecked...my other suspect is heat...

There was once I came from Serangoon rd to ubi on a very hot day...and when I was at the junction outside geylang police station preparing to stop traffic light...my front started to vibrate/chop very violently...I released the brakes and things went back to normal I brake again it comes again and I had a very hard time to stop in time even I was just at 60km/h...

So now we are left with no choice and clueless when we cannot replicate the problem...my mechanic will try it out on the track next week and see what happens...

Is there anymore ideas from fellow experienced riders here of what might be the cause other than the above mentioned......

is it like a "vibrator feeling" on the handle bars when u brake ??

After u changed brake disc and pads still got this problem ??

This problem occur when the disc/pads are hot only ??

If i not wrong, u will also feel the vibration at high speeds.

Ask ah Tak to try ur bike on NSH while on supper, no need to go track.

High speeds - U shld get same vibration and can feel the brake pads/disc not biting, lose braking power

I'm kind of doing some speculation here but what if the 2 forks were not evenly balanced, ie, the kind of thing that happens if one seal were leaking, not equally filled or if one of the two forks had a bad spring.

Will the unbalanced damping then cause a small rotational force that vibrates the wheel as it counterbalances itself (spinning wheel is a gyro that resists change of direction)?
