Open your street directory book. Look for this street name "Kelantan lane".

Go there, you'll find this shop with a BIG LIM AH BOY sign. Its just opposite the coffesshop. U can't miss it.

disc brake alarm is what it is la friend.

a disc brake and an alarm 2 in 1.

so when the disc brake senses tilt or wheel movement, instantly alarm goes off then will reset.

in addition to that, if the cbkia still wanna try stealing, there is an ACTUAL disc lock there to prevent the bugger from lifting or moving your bike unlike an alarm only setup where the alarm can ring and ring but if the fellow managed to cut the electricity line or whatever, you bike goes missing.

go chong aik and ask the fellow there, pretty sure they got the item there.

also helps for those people who tend to forget to remove their disc brake when they install. since the alarm rings. easy to attach and remove, just a key only.

need to correct you mate, just sharing though. =)

firstly its an alarm, not a disc brake.

secondly, it does not prevent the thief from lifting the bike.

it might deter the thief from moving the bike, but if the thief does not care bout the condition of the brake system, he can just break the disc by forcing to move with the disc rotor alarm.

i used both before and prefer the 2-way alarm system.

the pros of the latter over the former, there's a few

1. no worries of moving off without removing the disc alarm which might caused considerable damage.

2. a feedback is received when anyone tampers with the bike.

3. keyless =)

Bros i think 2 way alarm is good la. The best and the cheapest alarm so far is STEELMATE 883 2 WAY ALARM. Its $150 with installation. But dunno whether super Loud or not and effective. :)

got one selling $98 @ this thread - http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=287427

installation can be done at other bike shop at $20.

add up only $118 lo...

personally i using the steelmate 883 2-way alarm.

confirm LOUD!

effective a not ar ? see the sensitivity level you put and the "balls" of the thief lo..

so far effective for me, cos nothing lost yet on this bike. :cheeky:

i using spy 2 way..... gd and cheap onli 150buck with micro wave sensor.......

yup can consider both the spy and steelmate alarm.

spy you pay 150 buck for 150 buck quality.

steelmate you pay 118 for 118 quality.

the difference between them is microwave sensor.

if you don't need the microwave sensor, on budget and just need an alarm to deter the thieves, i would recommend the steelmate.

Just a inform bro, most ppl will call it as 'disc brake lock/disc lock' now it come wit alarm/witout alarm.

Ur last sent on 'disc brake' will make other confuse.

Anyway bike alarm & disc lock alarm both hv it own pro & con.

Ofcos some may like to hv both on also can.

peace....:cheeky:

thks for the reply.

I meant the steelmate, as I am already using the Xena which can be a bit too sensitive.

The Xena may sound unnecessary, this I suspect cound be due to poor angle placement on the disc OR the sensor is also influenced by cars locking mechanism.
