Heyos, all.

I'm kinda organizing a mini-trip with some of my frens to Air Papan beach.

I need help in directions.

Thinking of using the NSH expressway but saw from some maps that its nearer from 1st Link.

So....

Can you guys help me out by directing the best route from both 2nd Link & Causeway?

Also, any good maps / street directories I can buy to recommend that shows detailed road maps of Malaysia?

Many thanks all.

The Ghost rocks man.

In process of converting it into the GhostFighter.

Plans for a GhostRecon project (onboard camera, excess parts & weight removal, etc) are in the works.

route is same as gg kota tinggi n desaru but u head up further...dont turn left to KT n right to desaru

For maps...suggest u buy Periplus Travel Map....see da year edition...its more updated than the local prints sold at petrol kiosk

I think da rd construction shud be over by nw

Any idea where I can get this Periplus Travel Map?

If its sold in JB, I'm going there this Sunday. Bookshops or what shops sell them?

Just proceed all the way to mersing and at round about just turn left.

After that Air papan signboard is just nearby and you won't miss it.

Remember no bike is the fastest, no place is that far and no road is that tough.

I think its about 2km after the round about then you turn right to Air papan. A good place to do a stop along the way it at the junction to Tanjung Leman. Its on the left side after the junction about an hour ride (depending on your speed) from JB.

yes. exit NSH via Ayer Hitam. take these route, Kluang > Jemaluang > Mersing. at Mersing town, it'll be like another 10km or so. look for out for a T- junction (on your right) and a billboard stating Teluk Godek resort.

ride safe.

go by NShighway faster than trunk roads? How much faster?

Thinking of going by trunk road & return by NSHighway.

I think it's much more fun to go up from Kota Tinggi than by 2nd link-NSH. And if you were to travel according to speed limits, it's definitely faster from 1st link-kota tinggi route.

a friend said the kota tinggi route got many slow lorries, got to overtake one by one to reach mersing.

Yesterday was the 2nd day of my 3-day off from work.(perks of working shift).Kissed the wife at 9 am and headed for Mersing on my trusty super 3 .filled er up at the shell after city square. The weather was fabulous ,not too hot and luvly wind. Took the kota tinggi route.was trying to find this 'Jason beach' but i think i missed the exit. Then saw a sign saying " Sibu island resort" and came off the main road.

The journey towards the beach was BLOODY FAR! Damn..it sure looks near on map.U ride on a 2 way road up and down slopes.what u see are piles of i think banana leaves but without the tree! as far as the eye can see.

there were also tree that were 'naked' .no leaves and just short branches it's as if a catastrophe had wiped off the land.the place give me the creeps a bit. then reached a place called Kampung Leman and headed towqrds the beach.had to ride over gravel and then parked under the trees.
