See you this saturday at the secret top gear singapore headquarters in toa payoh then. Might want to PM me your hp no so I can tell you exactly how to find this heavenly restaurant with super-cheap four course meals (and giant sausages).

Last Saturday we ordered so many giant sizzling sausages that the whole place was filled with smoke.

You can park at Deck 1 of Block 190 MSCP. The multi-row bike lots can hold many trikes without obstruction issues. Avoid the single-row lots beside the ramp as a lot of pedestrians walk past

There will also be a confirmed Wednesday night scenic route familiarisation course launching from the western part of the island at 10pm.

Oh, Sat nite? Not Fri nite ah? Might be a bit tough then, as my weekends are usually family time with the kids.

I will see if I can join late, after your makan session just for the ride.

Or maybe I will tag along the Wed nite ride group instead, if its alright, just ride around the scenic route since I live in the west...

Will PM you my contact.

Please do not reply here...just send me a PM please.

I want to sell my 1978 CB400N with number plate AYXXXD. Any takers? COE ends year end, so if i scrap the bike, there goes the number plate as well.

Please do not reply here...just send me a PM please.

yes now change to caturday night fever because sometimes Friday night is stressful for those office kittens fresh from fighting legal battles into the evening. Lol.

Also Saturday means I can go install my Rizoma front end at motoworld in the morning, test the cafe racer handling and pehh in the night.

I forsee lots of petrol sacrificing fun.

That's so not true! It's a simple machine, 3 valves per cylinder, 2 cylinders, just watch the engine oil and you're good to go!

damn .. cant join you for the next 2 sat. I will be overseas.

Take care

Pandora, i bid 100 plates of sizzling big sausages

Wow, thats four Rizoma handlebar sets :3

Yes, I now have a "cafe racer" style riding posture, which is my favourite as it allows full-frontal weight distribution for maximum cornering performance and reduces drag significantly.

Check out the one and only Rizoma handlebar equipped Phantom Type R this wed or sat :D

http://s1224.photobucket.com/albums/ee372/pandoraskitten/Rizoma%20Handlebar%20from%20Hodaka%20Motoworld/

The handling and aerodynamics is now omgwtfbbq. Really fast highway acceleration and super precise cornering. Bike does not get unstable in tight corners and braking is also improved due to "tighter" posture like a sportbike. Riding posture is almost like the Ducati Monster or other streetfighter with wide straight bars.

@darrylkhor2367 and I talked about things to do to make a Phantom corner. We concluded suspension tuning, weight transfer, rider technique, all can only go so far because it's a stable, relatively soft bike. But change the riding posture (and shift the weight distribution forward) and omg, the results have to be seen to be believed.

It's so easy now to swoop through tight corners like a kupchai and high speed overtaking is pretty much a piece of cake because I'm pressing down on the bars (artificial downforce on front wheel - more grip), and much reduced drag vs rider (I'm all the way under the windscreen).

Not for everyone as your riding posture is like this example. People will stare. This includes lorry drivers, taxi drivers, car drivers, R1 riders, Malaysian commuters.... etc :p

@Motoworld tells me its the first ever Phantom they installed the bars on.

Lol that's more or less how I treat my Phantom. The taxi driver community also agree (many of the senior drivers used to ride) that Honda bikes are pretty much renown for reliability.

Someone should buy or even community co-own your Hawk so the marvel of your home engineering can be preserved for all eternity lol.

Have fun :D Come and say hi once in a while lol

Think i cant join u guys much anymore, starting work soon

I'll be sure to ask you where you work lol.

I realised the HUD changed. How did you install that? It amazes me ^^ Is it an external devise that you stick on or build it into your bike?

It's a Samsung Galaxy tab. I've been testing various HUD projector/GPS speedometer apps and so far Ulysse and ZP Dashboard are the best. These are featured in my videos.

Saturday-

You all want giant sausages again or try something else? Botak Jones (Toa Payoh) is also an option. Or keep it simple with Macdonalds (Anchorvale).

Pls vote/bid as necessary. Lol.

Lol 6 chicken rice only? You should give us an order form so we can buy from you :3

The Rizoma parts may cost more than that but IMO its completely worth it. Motoworld made the bike have racing-style clutch control and fast throttle as one of their several "free gifts". A scrambler gave me a thumbs up after some highway overtaking. Wtf. Lol.

The mod I did might be too expensive to justify for most but: -

- Since I now have experience with modding weight distribution substitute local/Indian made parts can be used instead to create similar handling improvements

- Rizoma bars and parts are generally "universal" and can be fitted to my future bikes too. The quality materials and coatings used can possibly last very long.

8pm - PM me your HP no. for coordination purposes.

There will be an optional buffet dinner at $25.00 per pax. This special catering arrangement is for this Saturday only.

Just completed recon run of the route with @tankee1981 and @ahwee888

Also tested a heads down display which consumes much less power than the fancy artificial horizon.

Convoy Routing:

"Southwest Corridor"

This is another secret expressway created using major trunk roads, underpasses and just plain streetdirectory dot com browsing when bored at work.

Toa Payoh to Jurong East in the quickest, most entertaining time possible averaging 80kph all the way. Little traffic and few stoplights!

There's something for every rider. Parkour style urban navigation, big roads, small roads, underpasses, overpasses, play corners, see factories... oh and unlimited food before that :D

Sure, check in anytime :)

Do note if we run the planned route there will only be 1 or 2 planned stops at most. We do have a "second wave" that will wait at a predesignated location to join the convoy when it arrives.

Just sms me for the location, the pit stop time is 11-11.30pm.

After 11.30pm will be night/rural area cruising and then perhaps one kopitiam stop at 2am before dispersal. You may drop out at any time to head home if tired or bike doesn't want to run. no need to tell me.

There will be a lot of DIY tuning and even some vintage bike action planned for Saturday so I won't post any timings beside the definite one above.

For all riders:

Sleep in abundance is highly recommended.

Restaurant reservation has been made and extra buffet food will be provided for our group.

You can join the buffet and not ride, or vice versa.

Buffet starts at 7.30pm, riding starts at 10.00pm.

Location Padi's Point Restaurant at Toa Payoh

Park at Blk 190 MSCP and sms me at 9226 4999
