Should cost you Around $20000 to $20500 for a VFR800 06 and 07 (no difference except colours scheme) everything included except insurance and finance cost.

Insurance for a 28yr old without NCB, Third Part Fire and Theft (commonly known as 2nd Party in the insurance industry) should be around $1-1.2k

Finance cost (interest) is around 4-6% per annum. Shops like Mah Pte Ltd which finance its own loan doesn not charge any fees with regard to loan application and adminstration (their practice in april 06.. dunno if there was any changes since then).

Other loan like Hitachi Credit charges $100 for loan processing. Be prepared to pay more for loan processing and paperwork with smaller bike shops.

The VFR is a great road and touring bike.

Just pop down to Mah or Boon siew to check out the latest pricing. The above are from my personal experience and meant for reference only.

Thanks!

Anyway, i called Hamster asking him almost everything about VFR800.

Aiya- too bad he sold his bike so early lol

Anyway, looking for a 2nd hand VFR800.

if, dun have, no choice buy 1st hand.

But will lose alot of $ if sell away,

Heard from Hamster that 1 year he lose about $4k.

ya win liaos loh. and u like sms me at 330am in the morning @$@#$ :giddy:

hehe joking lah...

Well please don't remind me of it. I miss my "ang pow" bike..

I was actually prepared to lose that amount (and I took awfully alotta time to save up to take the depre amount man). This way end of the day, I managed to really enjoy the bike, along with what it provided me during my 1.4 mths ownership.

Word of advise, live and work with your bike... don't live and work FOR your bike. It makes life not so happy...

Good luck in searching for ur baby!!

I think it is okay to get new one. Becos once you ridden it, you will know that it is a companion that you would not lose it for a long time.

Was considering a CBR or R1 when I saw a VFR at the shop and fell for it immediately.

Hi guys

I'm thinking of changing into Pilot Roads, since I don't do track. The Michelin site also recommended Pilot Sports.

I've only had experience using Dunlops (not so hot), and ok on BT014s (both on other bikes)...

Any feedback on the Pilot Roads, if I'm on highways mostly, and not on track?

Any 'better' tyres to consider?

Thanks.

I am on Pilot road right now. Used to be on BT020. The pilot road is not very good in the wet but on dry I have had no problems so far. Some riders told me they don't like the tire, esp in the wet. Just my 2 ct

Wow... not very positive feedback on Pilot Road then. So that should be out for me.

I thought Pilot Power is geared for track, so didn't include it in my list. Also didn't know that Pilot Road also has 2ct version.

Any feedback on Pilot Sport? And what's a good place to get michelin tyres? Need not be the cheapest, but reliability and balancing etc good more important.

Thanks guys.

Pilot power gives me the chills during wet weather. So next round it is either Pilot sports or Metzerler M3. I think it is due to the grooving that cause traction loss at small lean angles.

You want to get tyres, go speedway and find Ah Tiong. Tell him that Friday13 recommend one. He will give you best price.

Actually I tried that on my specII last time, found it quite ok.

Thought I'd try something else this time... but may go back to the 014 too.

Tyres always a difficult issue for me... spoilt for choice...
