I've don defensive ridin course.. duno izit the same.. i tink diff cos tat time i pay only $50. tat i good course.. makes u more confidence, n you wil be more steady after the course. BBDC usin hornets 250 n 600 for their cls 2a n 2. but they wont let u use those bikes.. but try ask them loh.. anyway u pay $ liao..

i oso did the course.. i cant really remember how it goes.. but it was something like this

 

a super damn boliao theory lesson at the beginin to bore the living crap out of u..

 

practical is much more fun.. but using their pa lia 125 bike.. the bike in such bad shape its amazing tat its still running..

 

everyone up bike.. fellow intructor around the course.. do lean in lean out.. one hand riding.. riding while standing..

 

then abit of rear wheel skidding.. pull clutch zam rear brake.. never touch the front brakes while doin this..

 

lastly a simulator ride.. quite bo liao la.. like go arcade play game.. sit on the fake bike the wind blow at u.. cannot lean but can turn handle bar.. anyway the intructor chose a racing circuit for me.. cos i was the last one.. can even hear the sound when bua ka ta.. hahaha.. tok abt realistic..

 

all in all.. quite fun.. paid 25 onli cos army subsidise half.. originally 50 bucks

Defensive course very worth the money. I did the 125cc a long time ago - will prob do the 600cc course later this year just to keep my skills up to scratch.

I think they do for class 2 also - actually I meant to book for class 2 but when I got there they put me on a class 2b bike. I did it anyway cus hadn't ridden any bike for 6 years :-)

Could see the Bikes all have Rail Guards...

 

Especially the 600s... Like a ring all around the Bike...

Alan : I shall try to memorise the route, maybe get a map myself. The way up is twisty and steep, challenging, but downhill is worse cos the bike is facing downhill, the balance is alittle front heavy, tricky esp those blind 180degree left downhill U-turns

 

Ayu : No problem one la, our bikes are built for the twisties! Leave the long straight roads to the missiles aka birds (Busa, black ones and such )

 

As for the Defensive riding course, i don't think I'll dare to try it on a 400cc or 600cc bike, reflecting back on the way me and my friends totally trashed the CB125s around the circuit... I went like 1st and 2nd gear all the way, dragging the poor bike past redline and beyond, scraping the crashbars till the tyres lifted off the ground, whole bike going sideways, hee hee
