Bike clean:

Anyone how how to keep the pipes clean, where the 4 pieces come from the cylinder head? Look like I got some old oil splats on there and can't get 'em off.

Singapore has any bike cleaning places? Like car polishing but for bike - where they get into all the nooks and crannies ....

Cheers for any help/suggestions,

Smyles

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,

I took the one less traveled by,

And that has made all the difference

Hi Smyles, well did my last Super4 polishing with some car waxing coy at S$50 lastime, which was 2years back..

I'm sure they are willing to do for bikes. But just not too sure how much they will charge. Btw did you get the 04 model Hornet??? How abt meeting up with us? :) Its kinda Rare to see a 04 model Hornet on the road.

Smyles, if you willing to DIY, you can use a chemical MEK-14. Can gv mine a bit to you if you want.

Or either use Petrol or Diesel using paint brush..then wash with running water..

There Is a Ride On 26Sat/27Sun to Port Dickson.

By Kester & Co...

As Usual... I would be doing the Day Turnaround on 26 Sat...

Any of U interested in doing this Ride...

1. Spectrum (No Nite Stop)

2.

3.

Meeting At Esso 2nd Link 8am

Defensive Riding @ Bukit Batok Ctr

Very Good...

Straight to Simulator...Did emergency stopping... when truck infront stops suddenly.

Need to modulate brakes a bit instead of jamming brakes...

Eg. Better stopping distance...

Plenty of crashes into truck

Learn about reaction time & stopping tech/dist req...

Some Discussion...

1. Riding Posture... Sports, High Bar Crz Bike, Street Bikes(eg Hornet... Best)

2. Cornering... Slow In & Fast Out

3. Skid Control

4. Limit on Cornering (Suzuka Sport Track on Simulator...)

A Lot of Cornering on Open Courtyard :bouncefire:

Then to Circuit...

Must Had done more than a 100 corners...

Riding over planks,

One wheel on divider with other on road..

Making U turns within a carpark lot...

Skidding was fun!:thumb: Did with water log tarmac...

Can actually do it on normal dry cond...

More Simulator works...

Cars, people, bikes were coming from all blind spots.

vehical turn into your path... eg. there don't see u cause are blocked by tree/cars

A lot of crashing in the simulator...

We learn plenty...

Tried the sport track Suzuka(JPN) in the Simulator... Very realistic...

Crash out on the Tightest turn in the circuit.. have to go 1st gear.

Overall... would recommend it to All...:cheer:

Very tiring though... My instructor was a Mr Abd Rahman.

Makes lesson very lively & interesting...

:bouncefire: :bounce:

Can us autosol or brasso...

some stain would still remain.

Did consider chome...

but will peal with the heat after some time....

As for polishing....

Just some wax & clothe...

not much to polish lah...

Me enjoy doing it... to my bike... 15min... that's all needed.

Armour all for the plastic.

Tyre compound to keep it black...

Have a good wash first...:lovestruck: :cheer:

Ya... if u ride it hard... fuel consumption goes up...

For me... usually 260km the reserve lite comes on...

another 80km to dry (4L)

when rode hard... reserve comes on at 200km...:giddy:

the simulator is using the cb750.. quite fun ya ? i tried the racing circuit too.. tru the corners i cld even scrap my footpegs.. got sound onli la.. but buang at one of the tight corners.. i feel the simulator really cannot 'simulate' how a real bike wld feel like at all..

Best Suggestion is to Wear Jeans, Shoes w/ Socks whenever riding...
