i picked up the non abs as my ass was too itchy at staring at the model. sigh, my missus was mad with me for a while thx to the jealousy but now she loves the ride.

she still gets a little green when i fiddle wif it for a tad too long thou

i wonder if Givi or Hepco becker will make top box or pannier racks for this Hornet.it'll be great coz having a box is really convenient.

coming real soon. hepco has the new quick lock racks checked wif mtechnic, it shld cost ard 980 wif junior flash 40s, will be arriving real soon.

racks for givi r available from sw motech. their new side panniers seem real pretty.

right now travelling ard w/o boxes is a tad trublesome, esp when it rains

power delivery wise, itz pretty smooth, i'm still smitten by the sound the exhaust makes. so far, i have just finished the 1st 1000km running in, will prob complete the next 3000km and 5000km before really trying out the bike full swing.

 

fuel comsumption wise, i get abt 17km/l riding at 90kmh, mostly city traffic.

handling wise, itz just edging me to try corners but rider here is not pro at corners so will take it slow n easy.

Yeah.. agree on the safety aspects. I did a wrong move on the second day of bike ownership. Almost ended my riding life instantly.

 

As for the shield, you can fit the basic kit first (Headlight & tank) & upgrade to the full kit later. I am also saving up for some bike upgrades.

The Hornet Is a Street Bike

 

But it will do almost anything...

Tour, go shoppin, run up mountains...

 

Although the bike will go beyond 200kph

It is not a sport tourer..

So not so safe to to such speed.

It is not build for it. As with all touring bikes.

 

The Handling & riding Position is Great!

In & out of cities... along the long Highways & country Rds.

Sort of like the Ever Popular S4.. But with plenty of Vroom!

 

The New Hornet 600

Does cost a bit more that it's competitors

But It will be worth every cent.

At 100bhp - It's almost at par with the Hornet 900...

So what are u waiting for...
