Hmm, guess I have to buy a new one in other words. Was told of a black one at Loois Motor at Kaki Bukit Place - can get a decent trade price on my current bike there.

Is the matt finish Hornet OK to maintain or gets dirty easily? About to buy and trying to decide whether matt silver or regular gloss finish ....

shld not be a probm as long as u dun scratch it.. !! :cheeky: mine not matt, if i got $$, i'll hav get the matt black or dark grey watever u call it!!

Hi Myles...,

 

as i was saying, u dun get much space under the seat. Y? bcos hornet is a single spine frame.. which runs under the tank al the way back. not lik example super4 wher its frame is u can see from outside. therefor it can cater space for storage.

hornet i hav tried squeezin in a bike cover, addin in the tools, a rag & the impt documents. tats abt it for me.

Dear Myles,

 

Matte finish is ZERO maintenance. I've tried washing it, waxing it, buffing it, and frankly, there is no perceivable difference (except for maybe some invisible protection...?). All you need to do is give it a good wash every now and then, and if you're really conscientious, wax it every now and then, but if you want my honest opinion, it's like a waste of sweat - there's no satisfaction from seeing a show-room gleam from a gloss-coat. Maybe you can spend more time polishing the pipes instead, and cleaning the chain. The matte finish is really a utilitarian road-bike finish, does not show dirt, does not show smudges, melts in your mouth and not in your hand etc... Come join us for some of our outings and get a feel of the real difference.

i havent washed my bike in god noes how long.. i think its turnin from a glossy look to a MATT look.. hahahaha~

I didn't know the 600 comes in matt black?? The only matt colour I saw is matt silver.

Saw a Silver matt 600 & 900 @ Looi

A Matt Blue 600 @ Mah, Upper Serangoon...

Think there is a matt 900.. there too.

 

The Black Polish on display @ the Bike Show belongs to AS Phoon...
