Where have the 'affordable' full face helmets gone?

collected my R-PHA 10 Ben Spies replica from motoworld today... wooooo... solid and great helmet!

 

love it more and more as i wear it... so light... so comfy, so snug... and makes my ride much more enjoyable...

 

according the the sales lady, the price has increase to $550 for the Ben Spies replica.

i occasionally wear sun glasses inside my ff and the main prob is that the 'hook' at the end of the frame is too long to fit properly. maybe speckies might wanna buy a cheap wire-frame specs or use on old pair and perform the mod shown in the article.

 

i dun have a prob with pressure on my temples from the frames, but if thats ur main gripe, then u have to look for ff with padding specifically with grooves to accommodate the specs. i know they exist but i donno which model which brand where got sell.

thanks, i have ppl asking me where did i buy this helmet from... guess it's a little attention seeking with this beloved helmet...

 

 

he talking about visor for HJC cl-st... you cannot just go LAB find any visor and fix, they are not compatible... even if you go buy agv or arai or shoei visor also cannot fit...

Nvm guys, I found the regulation on tinted visor. Must have at least 70% light transmittance.

But it's a 'use on your own risk' kinda thing. Shop might say it's legal but TP will say otherwise. So be prepare to fork out $70 if kena cought.

it is clear these 2 issues are on a totally different wavelength...

 

i've been wearing FF helmet with snell, dot, ece and w/o useless PSB sticker otr for more than a year, tp stop beside me, not a problem...

 

my fren, wear tinted visor, tp saw, ask him to change to clear visor, never give my friend a fine (give chance)...

they don really catch FF helmets w/o psb stickers cos as bikers themselves, they know how much safer a non PSB approved full face is over a PSB approved open face.

 

for tinted visor, they still will take notice and issue fines if necessary...
