yup.... many parts on the 636 are similar as the z1000, eg single seat cowl, taillight, tail, speedometer, etc....

Pauche> btw after seeing you last Fri night and my old "baby" I was kinda sad. =(

But then watching the dude destroy his two week old K5-600 on Saturday morning at PG made me glad I sold it. =)

Talk about mood swings.

Pauche> crashed my CBR at the track on Sat. =(

minimal damage luckily. Another bike was leaking oil at the end of the main straight.

Anyway, my friend is doing his TP test on Thurs and fingers crossed he'll pass and then he's keen for a short ride/tour into Malaysia. We took him to PG on Sat and gave him his first ride on the track (pre-licence) on my CBR. If he fails then I guess we'll have to wait atleast another 2-3 weeks for him to join on a cub outing.

tats bad.... but i bet u r in ur full leathers eh?

low-side?

yeah, low side. Started turning into the corner and the next thing I knew the bike was down, it happened so darn fast, and then I was sliding along on my arse... then my body slowly turned and I started to roll over and over.

I was wearing full leathers, back protector etc, so damage was minimal. I even managed to get scratches on my helmet visor! Bike is pretty much ok too. Busted the brake lever right off so I had to ride home to Singapore via Tuas using the back brake only. Apart from that the RHS peg was in bad shape and the brake fluid reservoir was ground down and leaking. Pipe also suffered a little and the fairing near the headlights.

CBR down, sonic selling, so wat happened to ur RS125?

RS125 is waiting for a replacement block or full engine transplant from an earlier model RS125 (pre y2k). I think I've sourced an engine but I'm waiting for a quote on a rebuild and fitting it into my bike. Then I'll rebuild the original engine and have it ready as a spare for the next time I blow an engine up. =p

My aim with the RS125 is to keep riding it till I can run a sub 2 min time at PG and then I'll upgrade to a 250cc or 400cc bike. Sub 1:55's and I'll move up to a 600cc. Baby steps...

The CBR is ready to be collected tonight. :)

The KTM is in good working condition but not appropriate for daily riding, esp with the premixing and small tank.

Sounds good. No plans for that weekend as yet.

I think Desaru might be a good ideas as it's not too far. Ideally I'd like to set off really early though esp as we'll be travelling slowly.
