$3.50 a can , spray on chain lube (big can!) from Motoworld at Kaki bukit. Unbeatable price. 1 can easily enough for 1.5 months. Use every 500km.

Using heavy duty X ring so I don't care about the chain, it's great as the X-design self-cleans and lubricates very well.

Sorry for digging up this old thread .

I used to buy Castrol Chain Wax from one of the popular shop in kelantan road. But now the price has hike up significantly. The 400ml chain wax bottle used to cost me $9-$10 has now hike up to $18.

Can any guys tell me where to get cheap chain wax lube .

Potong Pasir outing group and I bought a ton of that $3.50 Autosol chain lube from Motoworld. Very good! I like this product better than the $8 FZ1 chain lube as it cleans better, stays on longer and doesn't leave a mess.

Since it's such a huge can just spray everywhere :D

Tribology is the science and engineering of interacting surfaces in relative motion. It includes the study and application of the principles of friction, lubrication and wear.

so you see..this is a biggie subject....

as for a good lube on my oiler..my criterial is very simple..

after dosing the required lube ...on reaching my destination the lube is still on the chain..

eg...my expected usage is 15km/ml....i dose the qty with ref to the distance i am going to ride..say 30km..i will dose 2ml..on reaching my destination the lube must be still on the chain..then this lube meets my min.. requirements..

use of different lube will give diferent results..

the lube degradtion can be observed as a dry chain...or those using high viscosity lube like grease will end up a gooey black mass..

so those who use spray cans...can it last till the next cleaning and oiling session..??

using time to lube chains is not the a good idea..u should use km and observation..

lousy lubing technique can end up with bad lubrication...

at the end of the day...the question of the lubing issues boils down to..

cost of lube/km??

ease of application..

time involved....

an oiler is the best in the above 3 criterias..

Haven't seen the ml but that thing lasts for a few thousand km if you're gentle and precise with the application. I think they're still selling it for $3.50! Must have more! :D

Hi all riders,

I just got my kawasaki installed with the “EzzyOiler” on saturday with 2 other riders and this post depicts the result.

It is AWESOME. The bike feels smoother now and my days of buying chain lubricant and spraying my bike chain are OVER! Till of course I want to clean my chain.

This clever piece of intellectual property here was literally created by "EzzyOiler" himself and he is a very friendly gentleman and I recommend riders who are perhaps perplexed onto how to:

1. Lubricate your chain

2. What kind of Chain Lub to use?

3. How many km's before lubricating your chain?

4. Or anyone who just want to lubricate your chain in the best possible way.

If you do not understand how this works from "EzzyOiler's" description of his product. Let me break down the gist of it, after speaking to Ezzyoiler himself and looking at the product in action.

*DISCLAIMER*

I am not advertizing for him, this is all but my take on the product.

First, it is important to understand it is a "TOTAL LOSS" system. What this means is that everytime you ride, the oil that lubricates your chain will be SPENT. Meaning, the oil will trickle down the rubber hoses onto the sides of the sprocket. What will happen then is because of how liquid molecules move, the oil will "SPREAD" naturally onto your CHAIN and SPROCKET. WHY? Don't ask me, ask the laws of PHYSICS.

Secondly, you may ask, what kind of OIL should you use? Since this is about cost efficiency, Ezzyoiler recommends UNC 2T oil @ $3 per bottle. So this entirely depends on you. One bottle is 1 Litre.

Thirdly, you may ask, how much oil is needed to lube your chain as your ride? This depends on the displacement i.e. cc. of your bike which means how big your chain is. Basically, the rubber hoses that drips the oil is connected to a little 60ml bottle. What you must do everytime you ride, is to “pump” the amount of oil required for your motorbike chain. HENCE the “TOTAL LOSS” system.

Don’t catch the idea yet? OK very simple.

Every time you ride, say for 10 - 15 mins, all you need to do is PUMP ONCE. Because, all this does is pump the oil from the bottle, which will trickle down the rubber hoses, onto your sprocket. To give a numerical value to this, ONE PUMP gives you 2ml of oil.

2ml of oil is about 15 drops onto your sprocket according to EzzyOiler. This is about 1 DROP OF OIL PER 1.5 MINUTES.

Needless to say, as long as the oil stops trickling at the end of your RIDE, EzzyOiler has done its job by dripping oil onto your bike chain, WHILST RIDING. The result you will see would be a SHINY chain due to the oil. So, lets say you ride for 20 mins, you may need 2 PUMPS for example, and so on and forth.

Therefore, I would like to thank EzzyOiler himself for this brilliant idea, and I would recommend riders who are interested to check out the product!

Ups for EZZYOILER!
