Hey guys. Thanks for the suggestions so far. I might take Cat up on his offer, but definitely prefer early mornings to nights. Cat, care to disclose where this runway is?

I had a short ride this morning to Kallang Indoor Stadium to check it out in more detail but they've closed down most access to it to build some SportsHub thingy. :( Sucky.

kmax, the BBDC event sounds good and looks like exactly what I want, but I'd like to do it fairly regularly and not just one off.

I'll make a note to bring you there next sunday morning outing. The place should be totally deserted even during the day making it a good 'flash mob pillow fight venue' for your stuff.

I'll love to do a night gymkhana there as there is no lighting..... so I'll daydream of lighting it up with tiny lights all blue and white like a little aircraft runway. Since you can't see the road, it's "instrument flying" all the way :D

Seems like a good way to burn your clutch out and maybe break a bone!

You can try Blk 254 Kim Keat Ave (behind vw golf centre):

(Search Singapore 310254)

Go to the street view and you should see a large open tarmac area.

wow! look like nice place to "burn your clutch out" as you say.

but hopefully no one complain about sounds (yes sounds! not a noise)

since so close to housing estate (´▽`*) hahaha

I went to the relatively open car park (I think it's the Farrer Pk Stadium car park) between Race Course Rd and Northumberland Rd on Sat morning - see link below. Not bad. Enough open room to do some slalom practice (using parking bay numbers as cones) and some tight circles to get a little more comfortable with leaning the bike over a little more. But it is not exactly secluded - had a few ppl running around, tai-chi-ing etc.

hey... was looking through this and was just thinking it'd be great if we could organise one gymkhana session and just whack through the motions. then after that let the lao jiao tell the noobs (me and anyone else in the triangle category) what kinda things to look out for and all. could even be held as a common routine eventually...

i remembered this course helped me alot when i was still learning at SSDC. the whole fear of banking lower at low speed can be overcome if we had a proper place to learn and not attempt on the roads during peak hours

01/04/2010 == pass 2B TP (2nd try)

10/04/2010 - ? == Yamaha FZ150i

If anyone going to host a gymkhana session, I am game to join. Never tried it before, but always wanted to. I would probably fall on my arse a few times, but it looks fun!
