well the maps activates the tre.. the numbers 4,5,6,7 depends on which suits u n the bike the most.. i use map 5 for k6 1000... and it is recommended by the manual.. the new 7th mode is a special mode to by pass 180kmh top speed limiter.. those with power cuts.. eg. GSX1400..

So we can select which mapping with a push of a button,

or is it auto select for you, meaning when you are at this gear, tre will choose this map for you, etc & so forth.

Interesting ley... think can consider the offer by motovation at the SBF Ann..

Clutch = need

frame = need (duh)

swingarm = need (also doubles as a jacking point for paddock for tat extra-added poser value :lol:)

rear axle = no need ( if u already have swingarm sliders)

front axle = need

i think juz buy clutch, frame, rear and front axle slider will be good enough. because mostly they sell front and rear axle slider together. And the swingarm slider is installed very close to the rear slider so i find it a bit no use. Just my two cent worth of thoughts o_O

That's why i said owners of R1 are indeed gods. You have to blend in with them before they will help you with queries. No point asking.

Else, this thread is just to talk **** sing song.

So maybe I shouldn't give you that little internet tutorial on how to look for pictures afterall. Cheers.

Actually i wanna ask abt sliders. I understand that there are a total of 5 different sets:-

1) Frame 2) Clutch 3) Rear axle 4) Front axle 5) Swingarm

Do u guys actually fix all 5? Wouldnt it look fugly? I guess, normally ppl only fix the frame (a must), clutch (a must) and also the rear axle sliders, am i right? I dont see much function of the swingarm sliders if one has oredi fixed the rear axle slider. And front axle sliders.. look ugly.

Currently, Racing-Tech is having a promo for their sliders which cost abt 1/3 that of Motovation's. I've heard of cases whereby the metal rods do actually break. Are those from Racing-Tech good enough, given its prices, or should one die2 buy Motovation's?

If you are a diehard track junkie like Newbie'41, I guess those sliders really don't matter since you don't crash like... krrrraaaaaaaa.... Is PAAAAMMM!!! BOOOM!!! :lol:

Ok, on a serious note, I think if you ride your bike everyday for commuting, and touring, it should help. Especially if you are new to big bikes which drops are inevitable. I got hit from behind and luckily the sliders were protecting some plastics and paintwork when it dropped, especially the swingarm. I believe that when they say sliders could damage the chassis on impact is just a myth, because the screw rod of my slider bent before it could even transfer any force on the chassis.

As for brands, I would say it's a matter of preference. Don't think anyone has done extensive testing to prove which is better. Anyway, we're all waiting to see you in person, do join us for an outing after you've got your bike. Infact, you can join us even if you haven't got your bike. :thumb:

What is TRE?

Suzuki Fuel injection bikes use different ignition timings in each gear to conform to local regulations for noice and emissions. Timing are retarded in lower gears. With activated TRE throttle acceleration n response improved in gears 1 through 4 with gipro. Note that gipro does not increase Horsepower...

I'm sorry to hear abt ur grandma.. ur race fairing sold to saniboy izzit?

To me... frame sliders are a no-no for track. Serious.

If you fall on track and the bike goes into the gravel, that slider might just snag onto something and possibly flip the bike or do more damage.

I never installed sliders on my R1. And then again, I never once had an accident on the road on it... only a trackside wipeout.

But then again, don't take my word as gospel. My R1 was primarily a track bike. It spent 1 day out of the week on the road. I had a Phantom and Super 4 for daily use.

just 3 weeks ago, i witness the magic of sliders in PG, 50% of the slider gone, the no scratches on the fairing, no damages on the frame. sliders are protection equipment , more protection is better than no protection. maybe we can call the myth busters regarding the myth of sliders damaging the frame during a fall..

sliders can damage the frame, IF ITS too long.

when its too long, it acts like a "hook" and pulls the frame while the bike slides

its not a myth, i seen it before

Exactly. I've seen this before too.

If the bike slides on the tarmac, it'll be minimal. But if it snags a pothole... or into the grass (and soft soil) or gravel.... Ouchus Maximus.

At worst, a sliding bike can suddenly become a flipping, disintegrating prata....

thats why, dont install the long kind of sliders, sliders are suppose to take the impact of the fall. so your bike got no sliders? sliders are good..
