these are the usual things one would do..

but it's not going to help much bro..

1. wrap the y-pipe

2. change coolant to waterwetter/engine ice/maxima cool-aide

3. gut the cat converter

as for the pillion part..

i never sat pillion on my own bike so i dunno..

my fiancee also never complained..

coz i was the one having my balls bbq-ed when riding

if u notice, when the fan on.. the heat is actually pushed out towards ur thighs..

so pls wear jeans dude..

and learn to live with it..

hope this helps..

ok couple of things.....

Taylormade make two pipes for our bikes, race and street.

Mine is RACE really loud and over the top, it is little more than a straight pipe off the header. drops 12lbs and increases power by about 6bhp! woohoo cool!

they also make he street version, drops about the same weight and almost the same power but is treet legal in the US.

they guy I imported it with has two left, one race and one street. IM me if you want more info,

PS: personally I love the pipe, looks farken great, and sounds awesome! but it is LOUD but mine is RACE...

let me know if you want one...

Cheers

It doesn't matter what the question is, the answer is more power!

for 07/08 models, i did notice that the rear passenger would feel more heat as the exhaust is more exposed as compared to 04 to 06. doubt that there would be any solutions to it unless you custom make a rear cowl which covers up the exhaust

or make your pillion wear jeans too

Bro, PLEASE provide me with more info. Pm or email ([email protected]) would be great. And never seen the pipe on your bike. Care to share a pic? Thanks again.

hey guys,

just wanna know, if i change my air filter, plug and pipe, do i need to go for dyno? wat air filter and plugs do u recommend?

I feel is better to go for dyno. However, in order to do that u need a Power Commander. If not, Doing a Teka Mapping is also an option although it does not fine tune your bike to suit the air filter and pipe.

I just changed NGK irridium spark plugs so... BMC air filter! But they are out of stock rite now... coming soon at the end of the month.

I was told that only need to do dyno if I changed airfilter, exhaust and fixed PC3 and GiPro. :giddy: Any "seniors" can clear this up?

If u got pc3, u must dyno or at least upload custom maps into the PC, otherwise no use getting it. However if u upload maps into it yourself, it still might not suit your bike as the accessories and the local weather conditions (eg: temp, humidity and density of air). What works in the US/UK i.e. maps from powercommander.com/gixxer.com might not work in SG due to the above mentioned reasons. Therefore, unless u are a pro-tuner, go for a dyno. Will be doing mine later. I wonder if i can just turn up like that without a appt.... anyone in the bukit merah area can come and find me for kopi hahaha ... i'll be @ Unity first thing in the morning. 10am perhaps. mebbie can go juzwheels and get some stickers too

Relax!
