think you have to consider the place you are going to park your bike at night cause if it's in a hdb lot then better cover it everynight and armed it..you know locals have this illness called the eye-sore..if they see things too unique..something may happen to it..so good luck dude..

But is it really 19.9K all in? Or have you factored in the remaining instalments.

 

 

 

I'm not pointing at this particular bike or owner....

 

But just as a word of caution.... there are idiots out there, especially young and foolish ones who have no cash.... who just put low downpayment and take up many years loan. Then they can't afford their renewal at yr 2 and try to let the bike go to the next sucker.

 

Look at the figures and then do your math. Get a bike that's at market value. Don't be the next one to get chopped.

i met a guy who juz bought a 03 r1 with forks, rear shock, pipe, forge wheels + some carbon parts + 12k millage for $19.5k otr .. i guess it not abt being chop.. more like love at 1st sight ...

 

i know there are 2 R1 le in sg, both are double digit no. plates, if he is selling the bike with the no. plate, then price is abt there.

 

simple calculation on mkt valve .

model current machine price x (1-(0.12Xno.of years) = current mkt valve of ur bike.*

nv include coe or insurance, coz those do not count.

*applicable for bikes less than 3yrs old

thx bro for ur advise. yeah $19900 haven add in insurance/road tax. its from a private seller and if i were to buy it i would be finding reloan from hitachi. but provided my fren buy my rvf. if my fren decided not to take my rvf then i will push in to bike shop and get a R6 08 loh:cheeky: seriously both of the bikes really attracts me too much and makes me in a dilemma haha..

As a general rule of thumb... for CL2 bikes ard those price range, try to put at least 4 to 7K downpayment, and a max 4 yrs loan.

 

This will ensure that your bike is a liquid asset in ard 6 months. That, plus you don't incur too much interest.

Also, your bike will be on the positive side of the depreciation curve.

 

When i sold my R1 at 2 yrs old, I could still take back 5+K in cash. T'was lucky I planned my finances.
