i am using this tyres currently but heard from my friend saying that this tyres not very good.. i almost fall in corner 2 times, one is at 99 bends ,one is at one traffic light right turn..hmm... don know is my problem ( highly possible my problem hahhaha ) .... or maybe tyres problem..

also may i get advice of what kind of chain is also good for r1 04? do you guys change chain n spokect togrther?

sorry i am on my bike for few months only LOL.. hope to learn more from u guys

Hi all,

 

My bike was stolen on the 30th OCT 08 at the premises of johor bahru Danga Bay at around 3pm.

Went for refuelling,stop by there for a quick lunch.Parked in front of a shop(secret recipe) 10-15 metres away.handled-locked,and was in gear when i parked.

Bike was in a noticeable view until i was paying the bills at the counter.

Went i went out of the shop.It dissappeared,the thing happen so fast in within 5-10 mins when i lost sight of it while paying the bills.

Asked the ppl around there but none seem cooperative enough to give me any information.all they did was shoke their heads.

went to Danga Bay Security for help.All they could tell me is they saw nothing and said to me in malay "lost means lost,no hope"

Have to make a police report at Tampoi poice station,then to Johor central.

 

pls help look out for my bike.if anyone have any information.

additional info.

have a number 74 sticker (yellow color)at right side of head fairing

have arrow stiker at right and left tail

tyres are fitted pilot road 2ct

motivation sliders on the side frame,fork and rear.

fitted with 1 seater.

on the tank/fuel cap there is keihin gsxr blue flame color protecter.

stickers also can be found on the mudguard.

if u look carefully at the fairing,right side is in original state,left side is resprayed.

the R(in red)GSX(in silver)words are in different red color tone.

on the tank there is a small chip off of paint(dropped my keys on it) noticeable at near the fuel cap area.

there are also a few deep scratches on the right end of the mirror/throttle balancer due to accident

bro..sad to hear..but dun hav to much hope on it..in msia lost means means..few hrs after u lost maybe sm1 already riding yr bike in indonesia or thailand wif a gal behind...or already become spare partss for many bikes...get both yr msia n spore police report done n wait for insur claim..i tis feb oso lost my rvf in msia..oso 5-10min only..went to buy smthg go back missing already..

just wondering; how long does the claim take?

 

coz my fren lost his bike he said his claim took him almost 2 years. but that was because his is scrambler and apparently got no handle lock. so he kuku go and tell the insurance company and they argue it's due to his negligence coz he never use other type of lock.

for all my bikes, I change sprockets n chains together so they have a longer lifespan.

My 04 r1 got less den a mth. I just changed to afam front(+/-0) n rear(+1) and did x-ring 520 conversion kit @$290 w/ labour.

I would say, this combo is NOISY n abit jerky or jumpy. But fun on the acceleration.

 

For tires, I jus changed to battlax bt-016 multi compound. 120/190 for $445. Not yet scrub in fully but the tires r abit too sensitive as the feedback is quite pronounced n response too quick to the steering of the bike, so for a lazy hand like me, not really comfortable.

 

Btw, I jus got a ogk ff5 n I'll say, its VERY LIGHT!!

Hmmm, I've been using these tyres for 8 months already and so far, OK lah. Even used these tyres for track sessions at PG and Sepang (I didn't push myself though. Sightseeing only ). Better than BT014 which I used previously...
