just wondering; how long does the claim take?

 

coz my fren lost his bike he said his claim took him almost 2 years. but that was because his is scrambler and apparently got no handle lock. so he kuku go and tell the insurance company and they argue it's due to his negligence coz he never use other type of lock.

 

erm..many ppl say diff..some say 6months,9months or up to years oso heard b4..case to case basis i guess..but if everythg smooth like my for ntuc..u hav to make police report for both msia n spore..file a case at yr insur comp wif ur report..they wil take 3months/90days 'strictly' to comfirm canot be found..after dat they wil send u a letter..wif dat letter u hav to go to msia police station personal to to show them to get a case close letter..den gif yr insur comp the case closed letter and they wil tk few days to propose the amt to u..u can neg by sending a reply thru email dat u wan higher offer..99% the amt wil go up..once u accept they wil tk another 1-2weeks for the payment..wil hav to go dwn ntuc and lta 1-2times for signing docs n tranfering of ownership..den settled..woooooo...i took 4months since the day i lost to settled the whole thg.......

if ur bike still under hire purchase,cheque issued under shop name or your name by ntuc for the claim?
