Hi, new gixxer rider onboard. Many things to learn from seniors and enthusiasts here :)

Seems like many selling. Hopefully I'm not too late for the fun.

Hi guys, am riding a 600 k9 and just wondering what are the available aftermarket mirrors for this gixxer of mine... bike's pretty much stock so toying with the idea of slowly doing it up... currently the mirrors are top on my list cause the stock ones are beginning to swing about freely and it's really annoying. o_O perhaps the bros and sis here could shed some light.... tks!

Maybe check that the bolts are still secure first. The original mirrors have integrated turn signals while most aftermarket mirrors do not. Unless you are prepared to lose the front turn signals or do some modifications, I think the choices are limited. There are many w/o signals on ebay. But without those front turn signals, cannot pass inspection.

Also, the original mirrors are strong and act as a support for the bike in case you fall. Without them, I think the whole front fairing will be chui!

I get what you mean bro... donno if the others with the same mirrors noticed....there's actually a design flaw/manufaturer's fault or whatever you may call it with the mirrors cause once loose, no way it can be tightened...believe me i've tried and even asked workshops, to no avail. however, was at unique recently and saw an italian brand of mirrors with signals....only downside is... they cost a BOMB !

Could it be the under frame fasteners fall out?

I'm using it on GSXR750K7. It's single exhaust compared to GSXR1000 and sounds lower pitch than this. You can find out when you go for inspection :cheeky:

Check:

1. Is the meter also vibrating? If so, then it's the frame fasteners that need tightening as the mirrors are bolted to the same frame as the meter.

2. Is the mirror arm vibrating? If so, check the 2 nuts that secure the mirror arm to the crowling.

3. Is the mirror housing vibrating? If so, check the bolt behind the signal cover.

http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u382/raymondsg/Gixxer/Mirrors/mirror2.jpg

4. Notice there are 2 sponge cushions inside the mirror housing. If only the mirrors are vibrating, may need to see what else inside the housing needs tightening / fixing.

Indeed, a very detailed troubleshooting guide ! Appreciate the effort bro. But the actual problem is not vibration bro, instead it's the mirrors swinging freely about it's pivot point e.g when you fold in the mirrors.... I've read through a couple of threads from other forums and none have a solution to it...in the end, most of em end up purchasing new ones, be it OEM or aftermarket. look's like i'll be heading towards that same direction too :(

Anybody has done a dyno with their PC3? I was looking at the fuel map of my supposedly dyno'd map vs the maps on samples from Dynojet. Most of the samples are +ve fuel while mine has much -ve in the lower rpm and throttle. Seems weird.

Dynojet sample M328-004 GSXR750K6 with LV full exhaust. X-axis is rpm, Y-axis is fuel, Z-axis is throttle.

Service manual stated below, for both solo and 2-up riding. So far feels alright on solo for me.

Front: 250 kPa, 36 psi

Rear: 290 kPa, 42 psi
