While riding, did you experience any problems steering your bike? If not, then it could just be a faulty steering damper sensor...a way around it is to just dislodge the sensor cable from the damper...else, u can consider getting an aftermarket damper...

Any of the bros here have a different take on this issue? :)

Got chance that ur coil or rectifier spoil so no charging to battery then no electric to damper so got FI light.. No charging battery weak cannot start bike...You got voltmeter on ur bike..? It happen to me before...

Bro, think his bike's error code is SD instead of FI :)

SD = Steering Damper, try to off/on ur bike 2 or 3 times. Should be able start..

Steering damper has sensor? Don't see any cables on mine.

smallred is correct. my coil is burned.

almost $500 gone.

So ex for coil?

Think K8 onwards comes with electronic steering dampers...

And yeah $500 for coils kinda ex lei..

Care to share which shop ya went to bro?

Yes k8 600/750 has electric steering damper.. Think r1 coil more ex...

There is wire to ur damper if you see from the left side..

Mine K7, so gas / oil damper. Electric damper doesn't sound like a good idea.

Well you will feel the difference when high speed and low speed turn..

Hmm does that mean elect. SD is a better choice bro?

Actually was toying the idea of changing to OHLINS if one day my current one fails on me.

The speed will affect the stiffness of the damper.. While a non electric wan if is stock u can only rebuilt it if you think is not stiff enough.. or aftermarket u need to manually adjust to ur liking but the stiffness will stay through out...

Appreciate the info bro. Think will stick to the stock elect. SD for now.

Btw know of any shop that carries MCCT for k9 600?
