wot exactly does a slipper clutch do? projectd, care to share wif us?

well let's juz say tat it makes our riders could ride the bike exactly as they wanted, let the bikes suspension work better coming into and through corners and also let the motor take the abuses of race track use without the constant threat of overrevving.

Slipper clutches are specialized clutches developed for racing motorcycles to mitigate the effects of engine braking when riders would decelerate as they entered corners. They are designed to partially disengage or "slip" when the rear wheel tries to drive the engine faster than it would normally. The engine braking forces in conventional clutches will normally be transmitted back along the drive chain causing the rear wheel to hop, chatter or lose traction. This is especially noted on larger displacement four-stroke engines, which have greater engine braking than their two-stroke or smaller displacement counterparts. Slipper clutches eliminate this extra loading on the rear suspension giving riders a more predictable ride and minimize the risk of over-revving the engine during downshifts. Slipper clutches can also prevent a catastrophic rear wheel lockup in case of engine seizure or transmission failure. Generally, the amount of force needed to disengage the clutch is adjustable to suit the application.

In short, u can bang down 2 gears before entering a corner without the fear of locking or unsettling the rear wheel...

saw some1 sellin the leovince exhaust? any comment on tat exhaust?

Leovince Exhaust is known for its quality in their welding and finish of the exhaust in USA and moreover they do sponsor race on track for MOTOGP for Macro Mel and Tony Elias(HONDA) and also AMA KWS superbikes for Suzuki gsxr1000 Matt lynn and Larry Pegram AMA Superbike, Honda CBR1000RR and Darren Luck CCS's Florida road race on GSXR 600

They may not have the best know racers and top finish but at least they have a USA privateer that won the road race with leo vince in florida and beating a gsxr 1000 to finish 1st. Isst that what we want, to win on the road?:cheeky:

Me just came back from australia holiday with the wife and kids, visiting my parents and brothers cousins uncles aunties whom all migrated there, left me here in SGP.

maybe i will migrate there too... PP2 very draining, workin alomost 12hr shift everyday without OT :nono: there engineers earn min AUD$51k per year work 8 hour shifts only :cheer:

where they are staying there are 3 tracks and track days are 1 of a kind, you don't sweat in your suit and bikes are only slightly cheaper than SGP but cars are a whole lot cheaper

Yeah but don't forget to add in the tax, top rate 48%! not sucha good deal after that...

Quality in welding and finishes is better than GPR anytime...But, the internal built is the most important of all...

well explained and slipper clutch allows you to do aggressive down shift

at high rev , enter and exit the corner with a more suitably powerful gear...But

it's not suitable for daily commuting on public road...cos it has minimum

engine brake , means you have to brake more frequently and harder to

compensate the loss of engine brake... Brake pad finish faster...

Let the good times roll .
