After reading the review, the full tank mileage seems quite bad....less than 300km per full tank.

The tank is a reasonable 21.5L and the consensus over a pint after the ride was that we were averaging around 35mpg, which means a range of around 165 miles.

 

Yeah! Very bad FC!! 165miles is around 264km. On the 21.5 litres, only 12.2km per litres!!!

The review seems slightly biased.. Not sure if author had taken any kopi money.. Haha..

The adv touring bikes are definitely up coming!!

 

Tiger1200 and Versys1000 are bikes to consider too..

Hmmm...$36K is way more expensive then the current XT1200Z..

I roamed down EXCELcycle ( early this year) to check out XT1200Z which was only for $32K OTR..

Machine price was only for $27.5K.. http://www.excelcycle.com.sg/showroom_detail.php?id=847

Cant wait for the V4 crosstourer to come & make comparison personally...

i did check out from Mr Lee from Loois Motor on 10-03-2012

he estimate its gonna be around 32+++k OTR for the manual transmission version

S$32k+ OTR w/o insurance for the CT1200?

 

That's same price like the S10 $32.7k OTR w/o insurance + 3 box,skip plate & engine guard.

 

The CT1200 will sell....surely for the Honda fans while the non-Honda fans will opt for the bigger tank S10.

 

Either way,it nice to have competition then it benefit consumer like us.lolx

Its all about personal preference. Im not a "Honda" fan and have own both Japanese Brand bikes in the past and loved them. Like you always quote 'To each his own'. i do hope in the future to join you guys in trailing sessions (looks fun) unless it a S10 only outing.

The outing is non-model/make restrict and is open to all.it a free land after all.

Just sharing something from a restless european who is waiting for his CT to arrive...

 

A man is stranded on a desert island, all alone for years.

I think same as the S10, the dealers are trying to capitalize as much profit as they can for the new model.
