theres this new brand of bikes just arrived in Singapore, "Regal Raptor".

wonder where they come from. Like Harley wannabes. their sg-based website here.

currently they list 3 models of 2a bikes, with all 3 apparently using the same 320cc 2-cylinder liquid-cooled engine:

It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!

yeah i was wondering if it was china or india. the "harley replica" logo of the company gave away its 'copycat' nature.

nice for customizing. who cares it it is from china?

Always ride safely and defensively.

Repair bike cheap and fast,

Repair body expensive and slow.

Hi, I'm probably the first to ride a Regal raptor in SG, clocked 50 miles on it :). When it's unheard of, people are first to judge and label it lousy. Whereas in the other side of the world, particularly in US and Europe, and particularly in Switerland , there are famed projects and fan club.It can be found here, http://www.regal-raptor.ch.

It's even chosen for custom project by Johnny Pag of Orange county. It's seriously an awesome bike for custom due to its chrome, long wheel base and low seat, just do a search on youtube and you will be surprised at some projects done.

I know the dealer, I can hook you guys up if interested to test it out.

Will not work in Singapore. You will not be able to pass inspection with some customisation. LTA likes stock bikes.

on the contrary, LTA is more liberal than you think.

purely aesthetic customization is allowed so long as essentials such as mirrors, chain guards etc are present even if aftermarket. items that are not allowed include air horns and decorative lamps. so long as they dont contravene LTA's requirements, u can go ahead and fix without even requiring approval.

LTA's website also lists mechanical modifications that are allowed with approval, as well as what kind are not allowed. again, its pretty liberal, just that it may be a hassle sending for inspection.

and if anyone bothers to read LTA's guidelines here, you'll also realize its pretty liberal now. you cant just see people fined for decorative lamps or illegal exhausts and claim LTA wants only stock vehicles; these people just dont want to do things properly.

I agree. I did a readup on it and the bike seems quite good, provided you change some of the stock parts. The engine is basically a Honda copy (Rebel 2 cylinder) so most Honda engine parts will fit, provided the workshop is competent.
