fz1 or 8 OTR range between 16k-19k. dependin on ur insurance n coe. e new r1 would cost at least 32k. e reason its so expensive compared to 2006 is because the japanese yen is stronger compared to sg$. since u gt time to save n spare..juz wait for a few more yrs..even diff age groups play a part. if r below 25..an r1 insurance would be 1.8k. im riding an fz1..my insurance is 900+..im 26

from my understandin most shops wun allow u to get 3rd party onli..at least wif fire n theft

Be prepared for average yearly expenses of $5-7K per year if buying a brand new jap bike.

 

Besides thinking of cash outlay, you have to be prepared to "lose"

- bike depreciation $3-4/year on average when you sell the bike

- $1k-2K insurance

- $500-800/yr for tyre consumables

- Most people crash their sportsbike. Even minor drop-crash will set you back by $1K at least because of painting, plastic work, clutch level, gear level, foot pegs, signal lights (not include headlight $>1)

- $a few hundred for road tax

- $1-2K for helmet, suite.

 

So as good as buying a car

 

yes it is ex... but nth beats riding a bike! its not so back pain as in the car too and u can feel so much more..

down side of sports bike is put box like errr??? so raincoat must carry and mafan lo..

i bought FZ1 2010 in dec machine $17.5k...800cc n 1000cc $500 apart which will u choose?
