Last time when i was still in polytechnic. When i first got my license. I bought a 2nd hand NSR SP. Today 7 years later i still see them continuing the thread. But insurance premium has skyrocketed. From $400 to $1100.

And maybe those bikes my time still circulating around and bike shops just touch up. Outside looks nice but engine dont know rebore how many times.

Youngsters walk into the shop see the nice appearance of bike. But never consider maybe a ugly looking RXK can be a smoother ride.

Then become TP targets everytime on the road. Must play cat and mouse game.

Or maybe the babe attention and pick up is all worth it?

May be bec the more chio looking 2B sport bikes like RS125 and R125 are damn expensive, I dont think teens can afford them or some may feel they are not worth the money. NSR is cheap and look ok

Other 2b sportbikes like R125 or R15 have insurance around that region too. I asked a 18 yo p-plate spark135 rider and he told me his insurance was in the 1k region as well. So it's a matter of choosing a bike with cheaper machine price.

hmm. im 19 and i bought an sp last month.

let me share why "teens" buy sp from my humble opinions:

i feel sp looks good compared to other 2b bikes, but this is jus personal. I prefer sportsbike look to cubs so i got sp.

initially wanted to get a scram, but as im a poor kid studying in poly with low allowance, no money to buy cuz machine price too high. so end up buying an 9 year sp for 1k plus..

i believe for teens, its more of money factor.. cheap and nice (but not good) i guess. not good as in i think not as comfortable as other rides. correct me if im wrong :)

A true friend never gets in your way unless you happen to be going down.

Honda bikes in general are quite reliable. These make in Thailand bikes are just like the Honda Cub that seems to last forever on the road. Value for $ I'll say..

Steps to do a proper KNNBCCB with middle finger.

1. Bow down slightly, looking intensely at objective

2. Like a raging bull, hop and jog slowly towards objective

3. Take your left palm and slap it hard on the right mid-arm with a SLAP!

4. With charisma, raise right arm, whilst showing middle finger (with left palm trapped in bend right arm)

5. Shout! KNNBCCB

It's the closest thing one can ever get to a fully fledged, big sportbike, when waiting for their Class 2.

Repair body expensive and slow.

haha cause the legend that SP can hit 200km still goes around :) yes for sure now the machine price is very affordable for newbies. NSR150SP and CB400SF had something in common.... "taxi bike"

bike is a machine without soul, rider would inject new life and character to this machine
