original sellin for 600plus almost 700 he willin 2 let go for 500 maybe can lower till 450. hai~~ always spendin $$ wife goin 2 nag liao. was tinkin last nite whether 2 sell my vfr or not?? but sell liao :cry: lor cause i did quite alot of tins for the bike liao effort n time spent doin it

yah if it was the red raylle 2 jacket worn by the guys in long way round i straight away buy liao. hai.... been tinkin whole nite tink sell away my other baby then get sometin smaller. then tis gs i goin heavily mod with touratech stuff liao knn last nite posion myself look at touratech website :p

Gotta bite the bullet my friend, let it go when you can still fetch a good price for it. Your BM will be your primary and the VFR will just sit in a corner and continue to loose its value.... just my humble opinion :thumb:

gs1200 gave me a good idea ydae spray my bike apline red colour instead of apline blue like the 1150. the design is the 1 in the pic the base colour will be red with the white stripes. chio rite~~

Yah, agree with Cyclops on biting the bullet. Of course it would be ideal to own both, but knowing that you will have the extra cash to handle emergencies in life or enjoying simple luxury comforts when u would like to with your wife and family is also a good thing :smile:

 

It would probably be more practical to get a lower maintainence bike as a spare in case your GS needs to be at the workshop for a while (touch wood) :cheeky:

 

Cyclops has got quite a good combo though... an RVF for that sports feel and a GS for touring :smile:

 

As for me, I have my trusty DR650 as my everyday workhorse :thumb:

Product Info: Seal for fuel pump electronics BMW R1200 GS motorcycles. Defect code: 00 00 16 33 00

 

Defect details: Water ingress past the blue O-ring seal into the cavity underneath the fuel pump electronics. This results in corrosion of the contactsof the blue plug of the fuel pump electronics. This can cause sporadic failure of the fuel pump unit.

 

Consumer action: Make contact with their preferred authorised BMW Motorcycle dealer to have alterations carried out free of charge. If they have any questions contact the National Motorcycle Service Department on 03 9264 4255 or 03 9264 4252

 

Make: BMW Motorcycle

 

Model: R 1200 GS

 

Target Number: 16

 

Model Years From: 00 00 16 33 00

 

Consequences: Water can pass the O ring seal between the fuel pump electronics and the fuel pump body. This can cause corrosion on the fuel pump electrical connection resulting in sporadic failure of the the fuel pump unit. A new profiled seal that prevents water getting into this electrical connection must be fitted to the motor cycle.

yah lor hai`~~~~ was tinkin whether sell my vfr get a small van for transport n do some sideline like delivery service. but my vfr keep tellin me 2 keep my vfr, she ask me u sure u wan 2 sell meh. cause vfr apart frm some minor electrical problems then engine n evertin else is almosty bullet proof like the beemer. or alternatively get a cheap 2b bike like x9 or sometin ride around but would prefer van cause got shelter..aircon..music`~~ :p
