hi guys. anyone riding a 1150gs and installed a sw-motech top box (trax)? just like to know how you managed to mount the baseplate onto the bike rear frame. the screw slots are offset and so need some kind of modification.

Anyone knows where can i get a replacement battery for my R1150GS?

What is the model number and how much does it roughly cost?

Intend to do the battery change myself.

Was on course recently, did not have the opportunity to start my bike and the battery went dead.

Believe you can push start on a 2 or 3rd gear provided you have the strength

Guys and gals. Anyone experienced this before:

A) bike stalls when moving off cos not enough throttle. Bike CPU reset, diagnostic rechecks everything, all ok, start button, bike restarts all ok no problem

B) turn key, diagnostic check ok, start button, engine cranks and bike starts but CPU resets, diagnostic recheck everything all ok

C) turn key, diagnostic check ok, start button, engine crank, died and CPU restarts, diagnostic recheck, all ok, engine crank no problem.

Riding a F800gs 2013, happened once for each scenario but 100% of the time bike has no problem! still moves and such. sending to workshop soon just in case though but just wondering what you guys think? Loose battery connection?

Something loose at the ignition key there. Some loose connection between ignition key and Cpu.

Fazer : sporty naked bike. Cant really go off road. Long distance rider suffer abit as the windshield is shorter than a tourer like FJR/GTR. More mods available to spend on the bike.

GS : All terrian bike. Can go off road. Can go long distance touring.

GS Adventure : Similar to GS but comes stock with crash bars, fog lights and a bigger tank. Meaning its also heavier and higher than the GS.

And if you were to compare Yamaha with BMW i would compare the Super10 to the GS rather than Fazer to GS. Its a different class of bike..

Yup, bike uses more fuel for the added power as oppose to a 98. 92 vs 95 vs 97 vs 98 octane, cheaper fuel but higher consumption. Biggest difference is when you are heavy on the throttle.

just stick to what ever ron is stated on the user manual.the most important thing is not to ride until the fuel tank is EMPTY.because that will make the rider sweat.cheers & all the best with the new love.

Hi all. Anyone have (or know of) an 80's R80 or R100 that is willing to sell?? If yes please sms me on 96600707

If have I also want.... hehehe

Ur safer bet is a 90's R1100R. It's the last of the more classic look. The R1150/1200R imo are 'modern' looking?

True, but not so easy to modify. I'm looking to make a tracker or cafe racer, of high quality.

In my opinion, when i use msian 95, the bike is sluggish and jerky, but not when on msian ron 97..
