Just see see look look ... I suggest you do yr own oil change... less than $100 with oil filter.

Actually you r paying the high price just for their labor.

U are right about their high labour charge per schedule package servicing.

 

If just like u said see see look look and molest the bike and we pay so much than I think the normal workshop can do also or DIY.

 

Just for sharing,

PML will down load bike running info for diagnostic and upload latest software when available.

Check and Change parts that are technical upgraded(Recall) if your bike is affected.

Valve adjustment and change all consumables as required.

 

Warranty coverage for 2 years/100,000K will be an issue if your PML bike is not serviced by PML

Warranty coverage for all servicing/parts by PML a plus consideration too.

 

I will demand Quality & Standard from PML for the price I pay for their services.

Anyone bought the replacement battery for R1150GS from any battery distributor before? Able to DIY and is open to alternatives beside Exide and Yuasa but not looking for lithium battery since my charger is only suitable for AGM, dry and wet cell batteries.

 

Exide doesnt bring in Motorcycle battery in Singapore and I couldnt find Yuasa 51913. Check with numerous sources and seems like the battery are in the range of SGD200.00. Anyway bought from PML the Exide GEL12-19 for $266.56 incl. GST. Sharing just in case anyone needs them for future reference.

Theres alot of traditional battery alternatives out there if you're not into lithium types. E.g will be the known Yuasa, Shorai etc..

All in the range between $180-220. Shorai is more ex though ard $250 i think.

 

Getting new batteries from PML? You can of you're under warranty. If not, for the same battery or similar you can get it cheaper outside.

A GS battery is the same for any batteries. Just make sure its 12V, 14 Amps at least.

Go to LIM AH BOY ... get the TTZ14S battery for the GSA ... S$100 settled ... ...

the only thing that's not on this battery which PML battery will have... is the ... 'BMW LOGO'... which is just a sticker...

Been using Yuasa 14Ah battery for 2 years now and still going strong cost $110. I only ride fornightly.

Shorai too expensive cost $300 over .....who cares abt the weight if your bike already that heavy

shaving 6 to 7 kilo doesn't make a different.

Alamak.. all the replies start coming after i bought the battery LoL The intention was to get the Shorai Lithium but their 19A battery was out of stock. Furthermore, my existing charger does not support lithium battery since it comes with non-selective desulphate mode. Anyone with a lithium battery has any issue with a flat battery after not starting for a month?

The Shorai will fail if voltage is allowed to drop past 7.5V. It depends on the amount of draw by your bike. Not bike specific.

hi guys. planning to get a f700gs when the 2015 black + red color comes out (have not gone to pml to check out yet). was just wondering whether it is easy to get accessories for f700gs? are they the same fitting as f800gs? for items such as crashbars, windshields etc.

Yes. I own a F700GS and most accessories are compatible/fitting with 800GS. Put aside the GSA.

thanks man! another question, I'm actually split between f800gs and f700. but i do most of my riding for commuting, dont really tour.

 

i would like to know more about tubeless tires as well. do the tubes often have issues? is it expensive/difficult to find shops that replace these tubes?

 

also, how different is the fuel consumption between f700 and f800? greatly appreciate any feedback!
