thanks man! another question, I'm actually split between f800gs and f700. but i do most of my riding for commuting, dont really tour.

i would like to know more about tubeless tires as well. do the tubes often have issues? is it expensive/difficult to find shops that replace these tubes?

also, how different is the fuel consumption between f700 and f800? greatly appreciate any feedback!

I've being riding f700 since Jan 2013.

So far, in terms of power f800 is definitely more responsive.. but f700 is more than enuff for local use..

Tubeless is much better for sg cuz ur tyre don't deflate so fast.. U will have enough time to head to nearest tyre shop. But depends on how big is e hole and e condition when u realize.. Tube once explode, either u change ur tube right away or u tow it..

For accessories, the difference is minimal, and there are parts to accommodate the difference.. but f8 is much taller, best for people 176 and above unless u have long legs..

I'm fetching 21km/l regularly on 70urban/30highway.. but hitting 24 when 90% highway.. can hit as low as 19km/l on frequent urban, but depends on ur riding style..

Hope this helps.. pls correct me if I'm wrong also.

thanks alot bro. im tall so the height for f800 wont be an issue. mainly thinking if i wanna fork out another 4k extra for a bike which i dont utilize. (off-road capabilities)

for my needs f700gs seems to be the better choice. but then again f800gs looks so sweet! hard to decide haha.

on another note, for bmw, can we go to our own mechanics for simple things like brake pads, battery, etc or everything has to come from pml? as in warranty issues and also will other shops have the parts for such wear and tear items.

in love with these two new colors for 2015. but apparently may cost abit more as i see on the international bmw website. also not sure if pml will bring in.

btw, i spoke to someone at pml and the salesperson told me that some batches of the bikes will be fitted with the optional add ons like electronic suspension etc, and that i cant just order the base model if so. weird, but any idea how much more the cost will be bumped up?

Heard for the extra electronics from PML is 500-1k. That was before but now i dont know. Maybe more or less or maybe its included in the price they're selling. Depends. As for me, I got a really good deal and I'm happy with what they offer before the coe price hike :)

Hi guys,

I'm looking for a Zumo 660. Went around and was quoted about $760 by Sim Lim Sq and $900 by NaviCom in Orchard. Both comes with Sin & Malaysia maps.

Can anyone help me understand the vast difference in price?

Sim Lim Tower or Square? The difference in price is probably the rental of their premises.

One would be a PI while one is from the agent. Same principles like our BMW bikes on price difference.

Do also note that there are 2 version of Zumo 660. One is Zumo 660 Europe and one is plain Zumo 660.

Europe one comes with Europe maps and have BIGGER internal storage than the plain Zumo 660..

I noticed both shops NaviCom & the shop in SL Sq (Perfect Watch) were listed in Garmin Singapore website as dealer & retailer respectively. Guess even with the Dealer & PI status, the warranty should not be a problem right i.e. getting it repaired?
