Iron 883

Hey guys, I really need very strong reccomendation on why should I buy an Iron 883 and whats different about the Iron 883 compared to other rides? Those who own an Iron 883 PLEASE do share your experience and thoughts. Thank you!

Reasons to buy the 883 Iron

 

1) Fork Gators look damn cool (Only Nightster in Sportster range has fork gators)

2) Blacked out engine looks great and easy to clean (If you ever tried to keep chrome and polished surface clean you'll know what i mean)

3) Classic 13 spoke wheels (Love these over the conventionally spoked wheels)

4) Love it with mini apes and Vance and Hines Short Shots

5) Not VERY ex. Mid range price of Sportster series.

The iron is nice if u like its blackout theme.

With a bit more customization it's going to look fantastic.

 

But if u don't mind a bigger cc, the 48 will be a better choice imho...

It would be a fantastic platform for customization.

I have a question, is the 48 a limited edition? and will they stop selling it after a period of time?

bcos u have sub consciously decided on the bike and need affirmation from others. even if anyone tell u that that 883 is a crap bike... think u will overlook it and look at the good points......

 

at the end of the day, its wat bike that turns u on..... figures, and statistic is just anyway of man justify their decisions and actions

to me unless you gonna keep the bike stock, then no point want to get this model or that, they are basically sportster, although mine started life as a nightster, it doesnt look like one now

you can buy a 2nd hand sportster for $15, then spend $4K to make it look like a iron883.

 

might as well get a brand new iron883 right?

that why i say if you like the look of the iron then go buy an iron...many after buying the iron mod away from the look of a iron

I'm digging it too...I'm not too sure about newer versions, maybe different paintwork and small lil stuff for different years...the only thing I dislike about the stock 48 is the paintwork on it's tank...but i love the design as a whole...i used to want to do up my sportster that way but did not want to spend that kind of money...now that HD makes it THAT way...hmmmm
