the durian gloves are a little too "slippery" for me... went to buy a pair once because i forgot to bring my gloves... good for contigency but it does very little to protect you. Still... better than nothing.

The "feel" of the half clutch is the most important as it will bring u through the stages. Even to bigger bikes... clutch control is essential. Too many people don't put focus on this.

Some tips for you.

Tip 1. When you're in gear 1. NEVER RELEASE YOUR CLUTCH FULLY. Always maintain half clutch. You'll reallise your riding is alot smoother.

Tip 2. Learn to use your rear brake. its the brake on your right leg. Why? Because at slow speed it is easiler to manage than the front brake which cause u to lose balance. Then when you are stepping on the brake... guess what? Your right leg will be "lifted" up and you have more leverage to put your LEFT leg on the floor, which means you will have lesser "immediate" failure for putting your right foot down.

Tip 3. Learning to use rear brake will help u in the following areas plank, figure 8 and E brake. Especially for drivers... we are used to braking with that foot isn't it? use it :)

Tip 4. Grip that tank with your tights... it really makes u feel more control.

Tip 5. Look up and ahead to where you want to go... look at the curb... and well.. that's where you will go.

Tip 6. Learn about "counter steering" from youtube....

Tip 7. RELAX those ELBOWS... if its stiff... you cannot turn the bike... keep it a little bent if you can... yes relax.

Have fun!
