Hehe thanks for the positive words lol. Anws if install fcr carb on a totally stock engine is it worth it? What about inspection able to pass easily?

Posted

So far I've never heard of people getting caught for fcr.. Don't think it causes any problems with the law.

If you're into getting more power out of your bike there's 2 ways people would go down. The less intrusive way is to bolt on an fcr like you said and get the herrings set right..but this costs quite a bomb.

The cheaper alternative howbeit more intrusive way is to change both the cams to higher lifting ones.

Up to you which way u wanna go.. I bought mine loaded with an fcr from the previous owner and I fitted the cams. Lol.

Ride fast..ride safe..don't crash...

1) how many KMs can i get on Drz 400 SM (K9) before tank run dry?

2) how many KMs can i get after it hit reserve?

yes... i understand fuel mileage varies due to bike mods and rider style of riding.

Just want a general guide

Hi guys, need advise here. Am facing major problem. I bought over drz last jun. The previous owner said everything is good n legal specially the exhaust but he did mention he change the exhaust due to the tip of the exhaust fallen off. He assure me that I can still use the existing approve cert as it was the same model n serial no. Now wen I wen for inspection the ppl did not pass my exhaust because it was different. He show me the previous pic when they passed the exhaust and it totally different. The serial no is the same but at the wrong location as b4. End up he failed my inspection. Wen I called the previous owner he assure me that it was alright as the motorbike shop he bought it from said it was legal as it's still the same model n serial. Meantime I facing the stress of having this legal illegal thing. What do you guys suggest I do? I tot of going to CASE n forward my case to them as the motorbike said it was ok not to go for re-inspection to get the exhaust approve to the previous owner hence the previous owner tell it to me the same thing....

If you're riding a bike but not calculating the 50 possibilities in the 50 meters of road ahead of you, then you're dangerous and shouldnt be on one.

first thing first, get the cert to certify your current pipe legal; you have to contact the distributor or the agent for the pipe and buy the cert from them and then bring the cert with the bike for inspection.

if i am not wrong, one certificate would only cover one pipe. i don't think one cert can cover multiple pipes (when u go for inspection, they will take photos of the pipe and note down the serial number on the certificate).

in my opinion, CASE would be a waste of time ... the cert would cost a few hundred dollars and I am not sure if you could get back that amount and cover your fees to fight it out in CASE. What you could do though is contact the previous owner and seek his assistance. If he claimed that it is legal and can pass inspection, invite to bring him along for the inspection as well. If the bike can't pass the inspection, maybe you could offer him 50% of the certificate cost (and you fork out 50%) in order to get it certified legal.

best scenario i think, at least you maintain the cordial relationship with the ex-owner and solve your issue rather than he flat out refused to bear any responsibility since the bike have been transferred to your name and you also have no black and white of him stating the pipe is legal / ok to be certified legal when he sold it to you.

Hi guys, i just recently bought a 2013(register 2014) drz first hand from loois motor. Im actually quite shocked that lta has banned all aftermarket for this bike now. Delta, leovince , scorpion and all is all illegal to use for the 2013 model. Does anyone have a 2013 that has an aftermarket exhaust fitted & is streel legal? Lta informed me that drz has failed the gas emission test without the cat exhaust on. I dont know. Can anyone confirm this? Wasted sia buy first hand

Eversince 1st Oct 2014, no more new DRZ can be registered on the road due to Euro Emission 4 standards kicking in.

So since then, no more aftermarket full system is allowed anymore for DRZ as Vicom wont approve it anymore.

However, there is a very very small loophole which someone i knew tried few months ago and successfully got his exhaust approved. Will PM you because we dont know who might be reading.

Has anyone changed their rear sprockets to 38T? I read all the raving reviews by fellow zee riders, but hoping to learn more about

1) Any downside or negative effects.

2) Which 38 or 39T is more suitable for SG roads, streets+expressway 50/50

3) Recommended brand and which mototiam stock 38/39T (was hoping raptor haha but open to more suggestions)

New zee rider here, but local sumo forum seems so quiet =( still greatly loving my zee tho
