bro ticks, i think the tickling sound is cos the engine is cold and the engine oil inside has not moven ard yet, after the EO starts to move ard the engine parts, which by then the bike has warmed up, the sound shd be gone. i think its common among bikes

ticking sounds is the valve clearance.. engine ticking is not normal..

once warmed up, the shims would have expanded, reducing the valve clearance, therefore reduced ticking..

too much ticking not good.. (valve clearance too wide)

no ticking at all also not good.. (no clearance at all maybe)

Hey man thanks alot for the tip. Yea i was considering that also but could it be time for valve clearance?

valve clearance is a simple job for DRZ400, you might wanna get it done..

shoot i just saw his post. sry ahah but damnd delta 4 isnt straight thru?! i was told by a friend that it was :'( and worst too it sounds stock?! @.@ my thoughts of changing to delta has been popped. destroyed! ahah

but yoshi is pretty expensive :S + i'm still new to the bike. still abusing hehe and dont wanna dmg the exhaust. will probably cry ahah. any other exhaust you guys could recommend? instead of lv. i somehow dont find it gd =/

in reality, no street legal exhaust will satisfy ones need for power..

Scorpion is a pretty good exhaust comparing to others.. value for money..

i was also using Scorpion before switching to Yoshi..

just to remind you guys again, any tampering of exhaust inclusive of taking out sliencer is consider a illegal exhaust..

put in the baffle is you wanna steer clear of the long arms of laws..

therefore Yoshi is the best street legal, as it got no sliencer for your itchy hands and it's loud..

want performance and louder exhaust, go for race exhaust..

  • Thanks 1

Bro, street legal exhaust ntg much to choose fm. Yoshi, lv, delta, gpr, scorpion, wrp etc. really, if u find yoshi too ex and lv n delta crappy, just use stock! Lol. To me these three are good enuff for st legal. Tho i find the old lv and new gpr sounds real awesome without baffles. Very bassy. But i am really tempted to buy the mrd! Lol..

ahah but seriously was thinking of changing to delta with arrow header. but honestly speaking the delta barrel 4 isnt straight through. power is horrible and the sounds just like stock?

Look ard bro, most ppl using delta have their baffles out. If u want something thats not so loud, get the old lv exhaust! Gt afew baffles to choose fm. Plus, im selling! Lol. The new lv also not so loud.

My stock bike is getting only 155km before open reserve.

Seems kinda bad right?

What should I do if I intend to increase fuel efficiency? (Performance not important)

Any advice?

for my bike, the grade of fuel affected my FC. When i use 95, I had to switch to reserve ard 160km-165km, but after switching to 98, i constantly am able to switch to reserve only after hitting 185-190km.

happens to anyone as well?

Thanks for the input

I've been using 95 for the past 2 tanks.

Maybe I try 98 for next 2 tanks and compare.

And here i thought the higher the fuel grade, the faster it burns.. Right? Thats why people get better mileage with spc. If u know wad i mean. Lol
