Hello brothers. Can the Oakley gurus [i'm sure there are plenty in this forum] share with us, how to differentiate Genuine oakleys and fake ones. It seems there is a spread of online sale of Oakley shades locally and overseas. Hope this thread will help many of the Oakley fans here. Thank you!

Are you trying to say that there are alot of fake oakleys sold online or trying to ascertain whether the oakley sold online is genuine?

Keyword Almost. But since it's mass produced, I wouldn't be surprised if it's 20 ringgit. If you researched at what Luxottica is doing, they are actually producing all the crap branded sunglasses for years. More than 70% of all sunglasses produced throughout the entire world is made by Luxottica. Oakley and Luxottica merged in 2007, hence all the sunglasses by Oakley are made by Luxottica. original cost for a pair of oakley is about 20 USD at max.. the plastic they used for the frames are easily available and easily produced.. my previous employment was contracted to produce oakley..

 

the high price for oakley is due to their lens which they are famous for.. zero distortion, etc.. not much lens maker can make such a claim..
