my campmate whom a ex CBR600RR owner, claimed its a much friendly Sportsbike on the road... in term of pricing, I find GSX-R are much cheaper (there's a period of time where I kept going through the forum sales)

maintainence wise, very subjective it all boils down how the owner pamper the vehicle...

bike is a machine without soul, rider would inject new life and character to this machine

Yamaha R6..too track focused...riding it on the road is a pain...on the track ,its the bike to behold, takes alittle time to understand this beast

Honda CBR600...fine balance between road or track...engine almost bullet proof..lightest in class

Suzuki GSX-R...handling is tops...riding on track is a breeze..comes fully equipped,gear indictor,slipper clutch,electronic steering dampers,heaviest among all 600s

u forgot to mention...

Kawasaki ZX6..arguably the most powerful n highest BHP in its class, setting the suspension up takes a fair bit of time.spare parts arent cheap

Triumph 675 Daytona..highest placed Sportsbike (600cc) in fast bike magazine SBOTY...great acceleration, great torque,3 cyl engine is awesome but being a triple machine, solely lack of top speed and the size n height of the bike takes time to adjust to...

soon to make an appearance....

MV Agusta F3... triple engine to challenge Triumph 675 market share...same fate being lack of top end speed...def gonna cost u an arm or a leg to own 1...

and my prediction...BMW will soon come into the fray.. maybe a S600RR?

Aprilia? not just yet, they be focusing to cement their position as King of Superbike

Ducati? maybe a 750 twin if they want to gain some share in the supersports class

nice introduction on all the exisiting 600 "powerhouse", TS should have a better idea of the characteristic of each vehicle. *If money is an issue, TS can consider older version of 600cc sports ex. YZF-R6

bike is a machine without soul, rider would inject new life and character to this machine

share you views on these few bikes

the most ex/most cheap otr price

- > they're close to each other.. $+/-.. Insurance normally kills

cheapest maintainace

- > dont save on maintenance if you love your bike.. especially since its a sportsbike

fastest on straight road/track

- > linked to rider guts and skills.. even if bike can go superfast, its whether you have enough roads left or whether your balls at your throat liao.. haha

most comfortable

- > depends on rider.. different rider, different height and size.. ergonomics..

most worthy buy -> hard to say.. depends on what you are looking for in a sportsbike.. whats worthy to one may not be to another

i am not being helpful here.. haha.. but thats my 2cents worth opinion.. you may want to expand your search to international forum as well.. you will get different inputs and can narrow down to which will suit you best..

You can just not register the bike I believe. But you will need to tow it to track and back. If you don't have your own towing vehicle, this could prove more costly that just paying the road tax and COE so you can drive it there yourself.
