Hi there,

If I'm not wrong, excel cycle still sells new XJR 13s, they listed the OTR price as $16k, not sure if there are any extra terms and conditions though.

Here's the link: http://www.excelcycle.com.sg/showroom_detail.php?id=620

Hope it helps.

BTW, a B-king feels pretty nifty too, well worth considering if you're in the market for a fun ride!

I called them, but no more, claimed that internet was not updated.

I was pondering between the blacks and the tricolor for quite some time.. somehow probably the rareness of the tricolor attracts me more..

you got me! I can only think so, coz never see a xjr400 till now....

if it as Cb400, then the 1300 is much bigger

XJR400 pretty huge to me, definitely bigger than CB400... but not sure how it fair against the all time fav CB400

its hardly seen on the road nowadays...

hey wicked thanks for the heads up, are u a b-king rider?

sometime back i did pay them a visit for another 750cc ride..

ok hope to check them out soon, the blue with white stripe look classic!

http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6181/6042951914_32658e6e91_b.jpg

Damn I like the classic racing stripes.... would like to have them on my bike

Hornet 900??

*Bingo

is this the correct model?

http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6073/6042503149_723ce4d7e9_b.jpg

Yup, its 2nd Generation CB900... not much of revision since its birth, but I heard there's JDM model around

Later model have adjustable preload & damping for fork & rear shock, dual trip meter, clock...

Very "sporty" bike, pack with fantastic acceleration... but fork too soft. Pretty good all rounder!

bike is a machine without soul, rider would inject new life and character to this machine

the "factory equipped" race stripe would make it look like kind of ltd edition eh

hey and yeah the cb9 looking sleek too, clean lines.. nice mounted exhaust system..

can pack a 900cc torque when needed, decent enough to stay in "stealth mode" to the "prying" eyes

IMHO

XJR400 vs CB400, back in 02'/03' my buddy got the XJR while I got my CB so we can exchange bikes to ride (insur covered of cos) both 1st hand n fully stock. Got a fair share of riding both n I would say, in terms of performance both is on par. Size wise the X is slightly bigger making it looks like more than 400s ... The X's stock end can is big n even TP ask my buddy the CC of his bike ...

Our usual supper run up north is always challenging ... Although with pillion on mine n he's alone, I clocked a max 185 in order not to lose the X in front ... Both tops 190 so it pretty much depends on the rider ... Things get even better when at times we had a few more CBs n DucMons400 in the group!! Usually the Ducs will fall to the back on the hi ends ... (rider/bike?)

Thus with most things quite on par, I loves the H's engine feel especially when the vtec kicks in ... It always gives u a lil bitta adv at that pt to break off the pack ... What goes next is the whole pack will go bonkers n blast the throttles ... Lol ...

But back to daily commute, when u hang ard 100km/h the vtec is a bit irritating so u gotta control for the rite rpm (6.4k to be very specific) n u won't hear the vtec calling for u to "go baby"!! For the Yam n the Suk's engine, very linear so nothing's gonna lead u in except yr own hand ...

Alright, I think my post is gettin a bitta long here ... Sorry guys, for the "lor sor ness" ...

Tues nite I saw a black one @ clementi ... Was driving with my wife beside me ... After telling her "this is the bike I'm getting", doesn't seem to be a gd idea ... The conversation goes something like this:

Wife: looks like super4

Me: yup, nice rite?

Wife: ...... Then why change?

Me: -_-" ... More power n gd for daily commute ma!!

Wife: (knodding head) ... Then change for what?

(follows by a silent drive home ... )

Bro the CB1000R's telltale signs,

1. from front is the LED P-light below the H-light (very obvious)

2. From its rite, is the single-side swing arm n the "shuriken" rim

3. From the left, no distinctive features but u can look for the blue backlight of the meter ... Chioz!!

Trust me when I say women have not right to judge the bike unless they have a class 2 license...haha... they cant tell the difference or they dont want to admit it because they prefer the money to be spent on YOU KNOW "girly things".

You need an opinion. ASK THE MEN haha....

Looking back when I was on the 400, she said it looks the same as cb13. Now with the CB13, when I wanna get the 400, she said the 13 is better....Prefer the big bike haiz...

You R rite bro, in general, lady's opinion on bikes r:

Looks: nice/not nice

Size: the bigger the better looking

$$: expensive n waste r the only words

Color: if u dun wanna girls color, black is the only choice ...

Power: does dat makes any diff?

But mine's a rider b4 too ... Our courtship includes riding ard sg (on our own bikes of cos). Too bad due to work, personal upgradings n nw 2nd kid otw, no continuation for her... I'm planning of getting her back to it when kids r more stable ...

Yes despite engine is old model CBR919RR, thankfully its blessed with useful torque... great agility getting me out of situation

Tried the 6 a couple of yrs back but only on sch's circuit ... Gd enuf to realize the readiness of it to go, anytime ...

U r quite rite on the similarities as the concept / design was derived from the hornet but engine came from the 07' RR ... Some countries actually calls the CB1000R as Hornet too!!

Damage done, $26.5k w/o insurance.

found this, the size and height look like very comfortable like that.. hehe
